The skill ceiling with builds of this nature will be unreachable, this a simple skeleton that can be modified at several points throughout, but yields large large income. Was thinking of calling it Ace at first but, soon changed my mind to call it porcupine reasons explained in vid, hope you enjoy and are able to dominate some matches with this sucker. Ikon gaming will strive to improve upon all our builds whether they are economic or all in ish in nature. Thanks for watching and thanks to COLIN for sharing his complex version. May many more versions sprout from this style of play!

Id like to thank Colin and Godde for playing games with me thus further developing my understanding of this complex game!

Looks like a great way to actually get your economy and production going up early. I might pick up a few things here and there. The one thing I am not too convinced about is by your building placement. While your earlier builds were pretty compact and could easily be defended, building energy in a straight line like that with no factories on the other side to defend it makes it vulnerable to raids.

As a small adaptation to the build shown in the video, I'd put a much larger focus on getting more scampers out since they are much faster and rediculously strong even versus levelers.

Also think I just figured out how to make it get its legs even faster, on my next days off I will optimize, play test, and bring you smoother crisper more automated potent versions of the porcupine build!

Yes ! Ghost flux, steal, improve upon, refine, add personnel twists, execute, and bring the community exciting games! Also if you watch further in the tutorial I address that concern!

Again I wouldn't use it, the second factory could have come down one structure sooner, you neglected the vehicle factory entirely, you use all your engies on the same mass points.
    It is everything BUT macro.

Which is more effective than spreading them out too much. So it's good.

I'm kinda disappointed that people are already trying to make "builds".

Am I the only one that thinks having a build means restricting yourself to a specific, boring path to victory? I can understand having an overarching strategy, but a build just sounds like an easy way to win. What about having fun while you play?

I'm not criticizing Ikon, I think you guys are doing a great job with all the videos, getting plenty of publicity for PA, but do you guys ever do a match just for shits and giggles?

Example: The Realm played a 2v2v2v2v2 on a Size 1 planet which was entirely water except for a small island with two metal points on it. Afterward we played a 5v2 where the 5 person team could only build T1 Combat Bots, no Fabbers or defensive Structures. The 2 person team lasted 24 minutes and everyone was laughing the whole time.

What I'm saying is that yes, winning is fun, but PA isn't your job and you should throw some **** at the fan and watch it fly every once and a while.

Tatsujb your just a hater.... This build is macro oriented and the top player, who many of the ideas are taken from, thinks the thoughts within the buildare pointed in the right direction. Second factory one building sooner? Really? I state many times throughout tutorial its not perfectly optimized, no a set in iron clad way to build. Its simply my twist on one of the greats methodology to the game. This build can help many noobs and those just starting.

Mushroom mars, yes we do play fun off the wall games! We also just post our more competitive games and I personally like to break it down to the numbers so I can make my strats the best my sorry butt can do. Also to help all the noobs out there.

there are many games out there like 4 v 3 and ect where the team of four losses......these players need the help.

All I'm trying to do is better understand the game and share the knowledge with the community!

If any player I learn from is saving a tactic, strat, or build for competition, I won't break it down by the numbers without there permission even after the competition is over.

As long as I haven't upset colin or godde by explaining lessons learned to the newer players out there I really don't care what elitest players like mr. tatsujb has to say

    Let the haters be haters!

Glhf everyone! PA rocks! Good night.

You have to realise that within this small community Mushroom, you are probably one of the better players. Many players here don't have much to stand on when they play random games. By exposing builds like these, you're atleast giving somebody who knows nothing about the game a bit of a leg to stand on.

Once they have reached a level where they are comfortable with how they play, they can start thinking about a more dynamic and responsive playstyle that like you say yourself uses an overarching strategy, but that's not something that can be done if they do not have a substancial knowledge of the game.

And if you're a bit like me, who is substancially better than the average random, but also substancially worse than the top players in PA, then copying the entire build simply doesn't make sense anymore, but I can still pick up small bits of information to further optimise the way I play.

You're getting far too emotional over this. Builds are inevitable. They are inescapable. They happen because there any game sets specific rules, and there are optimal ways to work within them.

A good build aims to win against as many enemy choices as possible. They are an excellent way to figure out what works well in PA, and what doesn't. That's why they exist.

Hey great video, again for a new PA player to see this after mucking around and getting no where, it is a massive boost from getting your *** kicked to kicking *** and people online thinking your a great player.

Its allowed me to throw down 30 vehicle factories or 30 air factories and send 300 bombers at a commander.
Great economics allows me to win, and when I loose, I learn even more, from the quad build to stuff like this is great to watch, learn and improve my own tactics.

    Keep up the video's...

I do think this was a nice step up from the previous builds.

Can't wait for Uber to finish Naval so we can get more ship integration into our combat and builds.

    Keep up the great work!
