?

How much more should Advanced cost compared to Basic?

  1. In line with basic, around the same.

    14.3%
  2. Around two times.

    14.3%
  3. Around three times.

    14.3%
  4. Around four times.

    57.1%

Hello, simple question- what do you think would be the most optimal cost for T2 for this mod? I'll try to keep it around the same amount though numbers will vary between units, of course.

I only went up to four because it starts to get a little silly. ;)

It's more complex. How expensive should the t2 factory be? How expensive should the units be?

True, I was just giving it a little generalization for the moment. I may make a separate poll at some point for factories, units seems the right thing to start with. (I would have to balance the factories build rate to compensate of course.)

Don't you think you're kinda approaching this backwards? Cost should be primarily relevant to a unit's power level, so you would probably be better off figuring out what kind of "power gap" you want between Basic and Advanced.....if any.

As I said, it's just the general idea on cost. I'd prefer to have a small power gap as I will focus on making them more niche, useful in certain situations, I just want to get a general idea on what kind of cost per t2 people would like. I wont necessarily put it in or follow this religiously.

I don't think you got the point I was trying to make. I'm trying to say that dictating cost BEFORE trying to actually balance the unit's capability.

It's the same. If we say it should cost twice as much it should probably be somewhat powerful enough to still be useful.

Eh, true. I should probably disregard this (though as said, I wasn't going to follow it to the grave as it's just to get a general idea on what people like.) and work further on the balance of things, then change costs.

It's not really the same, it's much easier to determine the value of something once you know it's qualities, it's much more awkward to do that process in reverse in this context.

    I'd say ~1.5 is good.
