Yeh, I spend easily 4 hours on forums for every 15 minute match I have :p I think, because the game is still in development, it's fun watching it get better rather than playing. I don't want to burn out before it's released. so I can enjoy the finished product more.

I like how the poll has a nice little bell curve going up until the 'Brian Purkiss' option.

30-60 minutes, but that's the time I have in between lectures/on the way home, quick checks between studying or games. You must remember that for a game you need to be home and have more than 15 minutes to spare and not be doing anything. To check the forums you only need free time (like I have now. I'm in the library).

Shouldn't you be studying? I'm studying. I'm uhm. I'm pretty sure I left my notes about partial derivatives somewhere around here.

I once missed playing 3 or 4 builds since I was too interested in reading all the threads associated with them.

    Forum dedication level: Brian Purkiss.

For me it depends on the day. Right after a build comes out I do a ton of reading. Which is then followed by a few days of not even looking at the forums. Then after a week or so it goes back up.

However, looking back I think I've spent more time lurking in the forums then playing o_O (even with 200 hours in game)

Waaaay more time forum lurking than playing. I've read every thread that's passed through since the kickstarter pretty much, even if I don't post on most of them.

As zweistein said, playing a game feels like an activity - a block of time I'm taking out. If I check the forums for 10 minutes then it doesn't feel like I'm slacking off.

I'm the same, I often find more enjoyment reading or watching the game, than I do playing. Mainly because it can be a stressful game to play, and I don't want to play loads now and be obsolete when the game releases, because all the balance has changed. I am certainly loving watching the game develop though, and enjoy engaging with this community, through it's ups and downs :)

I definitely don't play/read forums enough. Too much studying, it becomes an addiction. :(

Voted Brian Purkiss, because I need to play more and forum less.

    *Edit*
so that was not meant as anything bad towards Brian, but just as an eye roll  at myself for wasting too much time here.
