Unit will overkill on one target. A larger force of T1 units can take out T2 because of overkill by the T2 units. The amount of firepower which is wasted on an already dead unit. This is really frustrating.
T1 is supposed to be viable until end game do you know if its really a targeting error or do T2 just have over powered and slow firing weapons? Optimum weapons are as fast as possible that can still kill in one attack.
It's a problem with targeting. A group of Bluehawks for example will all fire at the same unit, even though it only takes one shot to kill that particular unit. It's a total waste of firepower.
In StarCraft 2 you would have to actually click on a unit to focus fire. In PA it seems your units are not only focus firing automatically, but even focus firing to their detriment. It would be good if groups of units could have some sort of neural net so they can determine optimum use of their firepower.
I would love for units to have a bit more expectation when targeting. I'm sure Sorian would love to suck on this rusk as well, were he not already doing a million other things +1!
I thought a lot of weapons have a setting called "spread fire". It is supposed to. It could take more of the initiative to work.
