Title says it all. I would LOVE to be able to look at a map by hitting a key, so I can see where my bots are and where they are coming from.. Thanks..
They already stated that a minimap is out of the question because it would turn into playing the map more than the actual game. Granted they said it about a minimap on screen but the very same principle applies
The maps are small enough not to need them. I mean I can see from end to end on all maps without a scope. The bots only come from one place and end at another. It's not hard to tell where they are going to go.
I understand no minimap that makese sense, but we get a map when spawning, why not let us see that while alive if we choose? Doesnt seem like it would hurt anything, it would only help.
I guess... what was the reason given before? I mean is there a reason to not have it? And seems like communication only comes into play when you are playing with friends, since most people dont use a mic, and /chat is not easy to see, or use in game. and if you are playing with friends (vent/steam chat) you are going to win against a pug anways.
Honestly, I think it takes away from the pacing of the game. Just think how many times you would stop to look at it. Now imagine others in the game doing this as well. The pace of the game would slow down because of it. MNC is a very fast paced game.
I can see that, I personally would maybe use it 3 times a game, but I can see it being over used and taking away from the pace of the game.
You won't need a map after you played the game for more than an hour, at all. You'll know the bot lanes and the current state by heart
I understand in dota, there's the whole minimap showing the flow of creeps and all that. I think the problem is that, along with the above mentioned reasons, is that MNC's matches tend to be much shorter. Teams rely on the opponents not scouting each lane properly, and can use that blindspot to break through. Otherwise, there will just be an increase in matches ending up in overtime.
The only information your respawn map gives you are bots and big shockwaves from gunners and jackbots. Bots are predictable. I don't care about shockwaves. After you play for a while all you need to know is right lane, left lane, or middle map. And Spunky Cola is just one lane too.
Actually the overhead of the map while awaiting respawn shows you everything. Pros, Bots, Turrets and Moneyballs.
Ah, well I forgot about turrets and you can see the moneyball but the pros I know about but not in great detail compared to bots or turrets (which have big, clear icons).
You have to know what you are looking for You can see the supports heal beam, shockwaves, flak and others that I can't think of.
