Players taking up a spot on a team and not playing?

So someone explain the logic of this to me. I assume they're gaining the $1000 bonus if their team wins but that's the only reason I can think of (and that's only if their team wins, which is already at a disadvantage with 5 players instead of 6) It's annoying and cheap.

I can't tell you how many times yesterday I tried to find another match only to be sent back to the same **** that was doing this. All said, I've seen maybe 5 players doing this at different times.

I posted this on another site and no one has been able to answer it. What exactly is being exploited? Please tell me its not just the money... that would just be sad.

Its been mentioned before. They were probably in a party and got split and decided to let his/her friends win.

Not sure, I've been in a string of 8 games in a row where it showed someone as no class, with no k/d/a and a total of something like $1300 for the game. What got me was the consistency of the money earned, it was the exact same amount for each.

Once you choose your class and load out you can just stand in the lobby till the end of time. You won't get booted and you still get cash for doing nuthing.

And as mentioned above. Sometimes its just players who got split from there parties. And hope he/she plays. Im already starting to run into games where a Party joins into a game midway. And since we just happened to have three empty spaces on our team..Well yea.
They just chose the gunner class and deployed themselves in our lobby exits. What happened next should be obvious..

I don't know if that's better or worse, overall, than the player I had seen that went 0/0/45 once.

And I thought the game was supposed to boot idle players, I never even saw a 6th character spawn in our base or out in the "pit."

Well, that's got to be the amount they bump your cash over time. You get fifty bucks every so often.

halo 3 has the same problem sometimes people hope that in their team is a super pro and just go afk

I hate it more when people spawn taunt in on the exits.

Oh it's much better when they're standing in spawn taunting, shooting shurikens, deploying or a plethora of other useful things to the team. /sarcasm

Were you in the game i played where this one Gunner stood in the front spawn entrance and skilled picked for like five minutes?

I was playing an online blitz and all of my teammates when to the spawn exits then upgraded there skills, so I had to cuss them out.

They start with $300. Every minute and a half you earn $50. So over 15 minutes you make a total of $1300.

This is assuming the match goes full-length, obviously.

I probably shouldn't say this, but we discovered that if you are host you can't be kicked while afk. I'd say the guy was afk as host farming some wins/money whatever while he was napping.

Okay, that makes sense now, I wasn't sure what the money rate was outside of destroying bots and the like.

So its the money... that's pathetic. If you like the game so much that you want to purchase all the protags why not just play the game? I guess its a quick way to get the custom classes but it didn't take me too long to get those so I don't see the big deal. Oh well... I just wish I wasn't sent back to the same match over and over again when I'm trying to get away from it. :x
