I think they should add a way to make a small metal planet it would not that big no bigger than a small asteroid and would cost a massive amount of metal and energy to make. You could put halleys on it and use it as a small mobile base but you could not use it to smash in to other planets. It should be easy to destroy it if you don’t have defenses. There would be no metal points so you would have to still have to have a base on another planet. This would be useful along with the troop launcher for attacking planets that are already fully controlled by your opponent’s you could blast tropes to the other planet to destroy the orbital defenses then use laser satellites to clear an small area to set up a base.
