Someone told me that the uberent PA client runs smother than it does thru steam. Can someone link me to it, i cant find it
Nope, it's can runs smoother because Steam and non-Steam versions are same. Steam Overlay (in-game browser/etc which you can activate using Shift+Tab) might affect performance, but you can disable it in game options (make right click on game in Steam library and find this one). https://store.uberent.com/download/pasetup.exe
If you're really bent on trying it out without steam, you can try to run the steam-installed PA binary directly from the operating system. It works, at least for me, and at least on ubuntu 13.04. Choose the "browse" option from "local game files" in steam to try it for yourself.
