Right now Plateaus are just things that have to be walked around. So essentially, they're no different than mountains or cracks. Instead, the tops of plateaus should be able to build on top of. (I think this capability may already there. I vaguely remember seeing in an Uber video something being built on plateaus.) However, defensive towers built on plateaus should give defensive towers a range bonus. This'll make air fabbers much more useful since they'd be the only units capable of building up there. And since bots can't shoot at air and vehicles can, it'd make for interesting strategies. Bot armies would be vulnerable. You'd need to splash in vehicles, anti-air bots, shellers, or bombers to take out defensive structures up there.
you can build on plateaus, this will get some work, obviously but you already can. take an air engie and you can build mex or anything else up there. you can do the same in craters
this can already be done, but PD's on plateaus aren't going to count as air units for targeting purposes, that would be silly.
Yes, that is a nuke. As of right now it's still fairly difficult to place things on plateaus - you need about a mile between the structure and the edge of the plateau to place it (particularly for T2 stuff). Hopefully this will get tweaked in the coming builds.
