Hi I have not played this game for a long time, I reinstalled the updated version of the game today. Keep getting "pa.exe has stopped working" message pops up and I have to close the game down. This error occurs within minutes of loading the game. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix the problem? thanks Jonathan

The error doesn't occur during game play, the error message comes up within 10 to 20 seconds of loading the game. So I don't want to update my graphics drivers and find out the game still crashes.
Not sure what you want to say, but as far as I know any Nvidia graphics drivers older than September of 2013 will cause crash on startup. A least it's was issue for any other players I know. And yeah you should always stick to most recent drivers because no developer will ever check game on outdated drivers.
I also have the same problem i update my driver 2 days ago and i am using 4 gb ram when i open skirmish ai and put more then 2 planets to the map this problem comes out game stop working i am using 32 bit Should i change my computer to 64 bit?
