I gotta say, I didn't see this coming. From the Youtube Kickstarter trailer you guys put up, it looks pretty damn awesome! I'm getting paid in a few days, and when I do, I am gonna support you guys! Hope you reach your goal, this looks AMAZING! P.S: Will this go on Steam, or will you use the Uber launcher and sell it via other third party sites and/or retail boxes? P.S.S: Will their be any MNC references? Like a Pit Girl custom announcer or SMNC crossover promo? P.S.S.S: Can I be a custom unit? We can already hear the Super MNC theme in the trailer, I'd love if there was maybe some random radio in the game in neutral cities where you can sometimes hear the distortioned songs and some Super MNC announcements, making a link to the two universes.
I'm a big RTS fan, and especially love the C&C Generals/Zero Hour series although I didn't play much TA I had some friends that were really into it. PA is looking amazing and hopefully will get kickstarted into full development soon. I do hope that they can convince the newer generation of gamers why these type of super-large-scale games can be so cool, because it seems like modern gamers want smaller and simpler and easier and want it handed to them with no real effort on their part (they don't like what they call "grinding") and their super-short attention span won't want to stick around for 4-hour long battles. Best of luck though, I'm hopeful that Uber will find a way to make it happen.
It looks like Spore and Total Annihilation had a secret love child. I love Uber's art style. Really hoping we see some cross-over references in SMNC and PA.
I do love the concept video. The whole game has that distinctive "smnc" look. If you they did make the game with the look I can see assets from both PA and SMNC being shared a bit. Take a jackbot, modify it, and it could be in PA.
I tought that everyone saw it, they are even using the trading update assault + megabeth photo as a main bg on one of their computers, wonder if they'll release a full sized image of that.
