Anytime I hit a planet with an asteroid lately the entire "dissapears". The huge kinetic explosion is still visible but both planets are just gone. This happened most recently in a game where I was sure the asteroid wouldn't even annihilate the whole planet. Am I missing animations? Is it a bug? Is it simply missing from the game as a whole? I don't know, can anyone tell me?
This tends to happen when the planets involved in the collision are of similar size. For example: 450 radius planet impacts a 500 radius planet. Edit: Here's a workaround: Decrease the radius of the asteroid planet to half of the target's radius or smaller.
This happened on a randomly generated map, the asteroid was 3 engines. EDIT: Sorry, just mentioning that bit moreso as I had no control over the matter.
