Hi guy's I was just had a question on my Poor FPS.

    I own 2 alienware m18x's.

    My first one has:
    I7 @ 3.9
    680m SLI
    8GB ram

    Second one has:
    I7 @ 3.6
    460m SLI
    4GB ram

The first one easily get's 60-120 fps.

Now my problem is with the second one. It gets anywhere from 5 to 60 fps, jumping in and out. I know 4Gb of ram is low but the game only uses 2GB. I have both the steam and uber version downloaded on both computers. My real question is, if this is a processor heavy game than I should be perfectly fine. I'm wondering why the huge difference in performance. Both comps drivers are up to date. I have threaded optimization on.

Please don't give me **** about oh it's a laptop or oh it's beta.

    Thanks,
    - quazzi

Not sure why you are surprised... there is double the RAM and a better graphics card in the first one.... no?

Also, one assumes that the swap file is a default size, therefore the
first machine will probably have a swap file twice the size of the
    second one?

True, it shouldn't be a graphics card issue, they should roughly get the same FPS since they arn't under full load anyways. So you think I should toss 4 more gigs in the second one, you think that will solve the issue? Also there is probably like a 15-45 second difference in load time at the start of the game
