so i noticed something interesting today i had "p" up, and was watching as i was building only 1 thing it seems that i get ~40 fps (on uber) BUT when building there are 2 phases to the nanolathe the first where it creates the wireframe the second where it makes it go from green to normal so during the first phase framerate is ~20 fps that finishes ~25% through building as soon as that finishes the framerate jumps back to ~40 OH system stuff this is at 1920x1200 on a amd 6990 in win7 x64 with a FX8120 @3.9 ghz
I get a 20 fps decrease in performance when the mass stored or energy stored bar changes (i.e increases or decreases when either are not full or completely empty) is that how it's happening for you?
hmm i'll have to check if that is related to what i was seeing, i know those bars were going down, but it appeared to be related to the build shader, it is possible though they both reached their point of no effect (visually for me) so close together i mis identified the issue, i will check again tonight i will say that prior to posting i built a good 5-10 structures observing the drop each time to be sure i wasn't crazy, then i went on doing other things in that game, including more econ, and when i tried later i couldn't get it to happen, but at that point i believe i was econ stable so
