Thankfully, it's only a matter of time before Uber is a superpower in gaming, and then goes about sending its newfound minions to attack those vile members of Microsoft that allowed that travesty to happen. Thankfully.
All uber has to do is stand by the base and spam bots (us). We will ravage and destroy just like the gremlins
I'd be happy with being the new Free Radical (pre Haze). I don't think we'll be coming out with our own money printer, er, digital distribution service any time soon.
Don't sell yourself short. One ENORMOUS hit...thats all you need. Oh, and hiring me as the PR rep. (resume attached)
There's a lot more to it than one enormous hit. It's being able to continue to build on that first big title and produce another one that also does well, and again, and again. There have been plenty of companies that have made one good game that sold amazingly, or even some who made bad games that sold amazingly, but end up crashing after another title or two. Perhaps not to the point of closing, but to the point of no longer being relevant to consumers.
A high-quality, well-supported multiplayer game is a good way to start! EDIT: Fixed the link, didn't think that the thread would be hanging around this long.
But isnt that way you start a fan base to your game if you come short on ideas for some reason you allways have your group of fanboys to help you *fangirls* also lol.
let me finish this one... Bungie is the new Sonic Team. lol... sonic team i suppose is now whoever made the atari.
You mean.... Atari? I'm really excited to see what comes from Bungie next. I'm sure they're sitting on a big pile of money, they're free from Microsoft, they have a pretty loose agreement with one of the biggest publishers, and now they can pretty much make any sort of video game they want. It seems they have pretty much the best position that any video game studio could want.
No, Lucas Arts is the new Sonic Team, Yahtzee Croshaw said so: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/ ... leashed-II
