My PAX experience.. note I have only 2 days there so far but it has been amazing. Met some amazing community members in person and met the development team for that game that we love. I have played more in the last two days then in months and I have to say that I love this game even more. I shot lasers and threw planets. Tried new tactics and from my experience scathis is so close to pure balance. I thank uber for the experience
I don't normally share my Facebook page, even public posts, anywhere. But today was pretty epic in a lot of ways, and our officially invited folks - Zaph, WrongCat and WPMarshall, as well as others who've been hanging out in the booth such as Gandalf, OathAlliance and one other kind gentleman who's handle is lost in the fuzzy stress of the day, have helped make it even more awesome. So with that in mind, I thought I would share the events of today with all of you - some of the people who have helped get the game where it is today. https://www.facebook.com/mscattergo...ffset=0&total_comments=4¬if_t=feed_comment A new PTE build is live. I'd love it if people checked it out. I'm about to set it live on Steam. Unless I hear widespread problems that EVERYONE is getting (yes, I know everyone's individual bug sucks, but I have to look big picture), we'll set it live in the morning, and people can start annihilazing the hell out of each other. Thanks everyone, and have a good night. If you're at PAX, STOP BY OUR BOOTH!
I will be there tomorrow for more or less the whole day. I cannot be there Monday most likely because I do not have a place to stay near pax. The 2 hour commute is killing me. Will there be a booth next year? Or since the game is released will it not be doing PAX events
It's great to see the devs enjoying the show, they certainly deserve something good for all the hard work they have put in! Sounds like the matches have been a blast too, which is great for publicity.
Today was epic in so many ways, as was yesterday, I feel like I need to share an anecdote from Pax day 1 because it was that awesome. John Comes, Wrong Cat and myself were on a team with control of the metal planet however we were contested on moon and lava. Losing moon, the other team then realised they would try to smash it into our base on metal. Meanwhile, Scathis and I worked on catalysts and wrong cat fought hard for lava. Just in time, we finished the catalysts and used the annihilaser to swat the moon, already in kinetic bombardment motion ,out of existence. Such a clutch move but oh so amazing, especially given that, forgive me for assuming, that the devs didn't think it would be able to do that.
I hope these sorts of matches were frequent at PAX, because it's a brilliant way to sell the idea of the game!
Yeah we had basically a whole day of those yesterday. I'm not sure whether Andrew was able to catch much of the audience reaction on camera but really the crowd goes nuts when things explode.
