Is it just me, or is the pathfinding working much better if I give a move command than if I give a build command?

If my fabber is on the first side of the canyon and a metal spot on the other side:
If I give a move command to the metal spot, he will most likely (if also not always) drive around the canyon.
If I give directly the command to build the mex, he will nearly 100% get stuck on the edge of the canyon, trying to move the direct way.

    Anyone else noticed that?

oh boy, how many times have I set up a nice build chain only for the constructor to get stuck on the first building he comes to on route.

    its not just you

Yes, you guys are right. Pathfinding isn't finnished yet. I don't think the cost fields for movement are working (properly) yet. It is well know, it is beta.

Have not tried the latest build yet but the path finding is a bit painful... one of the worst parts of the game actually.... Trying to get units to maneuver over terrain that has canyons and crevices is practically impossible they always need help.

I have had that problem always, even when only giving a move order the unit first moves directly towards the target without thinking about pathfinding.
