I haven't seen a date when it was submitted to Microsoft or when the expected date of us seeing lots of fixes will be. This is my first 24 hours on the forum and I quickly and easily found the thread with the patch notes (POSTED AT THE END OF AUG), but for someone just joining the forums where is the information about expected dates for things to get better? Is it really just, "We have no idea and can't risk calling out and pissing off Microsoft" at this point?

I love this game. I was on my way out of gaming playing less than an hour a week when this came along and was exactly what I was looking for. But when does a user have to push back? Since Uber Ent. already has the patch to Microsoft and obviously wants to keep their fans happy, and consumers are supposed to be able to "push back" on things they're unhappy with, is there a Microsoft email address or website we can send something to? I haven't even heard why it's taking so long on Microsoft's end! As a player who loves this game but hates hates hates all the bugs right now, it would just be nice to get a few more answers easily.

They have no answers to give. It's in microsofts hands, they call daily. Microsoft gives no timelines.

I don't know how many ways we can say this. It's very frustrating to have to wait for something that's completely out of your hands but that is what we're doing. There is absolutely nothing we can do about it. Nor can we give you dates if we don't know them ourselves. We've done everything we can.

Fair enough. Have you thought about or would you be willing to post something to a similar effect about the fact that it's done and you're just waiting on Microsoft under the thread that has all the fixes? I only heard that you were waiting on them from a random thread. Maybe putting this info under the thread that has all the fixes listed would help other users as well? Otherwise, why would we all keep asking if the information wasn't already easily available?

Well, i will say i am a huge fan of Left 4 Dead's series, and the president of valve Gabe Newell said Microsoft has been a train wreck, i have proof because they actually didn't come up with their crap that the DLC gets delayed, so valve was completely honest, October 5th was the release date for the sacrifice dlc, the dlc got so bad that mircrosoft gave it to us the next day. i mean, i know this had nothing to do with MNC, but i mean i'm proving a point on how microsoft has been being lazy, i was extremely pissed i had to wait until the 6th to get it, while pc users got it the same day (Oct 5th) it got me even madder, so blame microsoft, not uber. Not saying you said it, it's just that recently i've had such a huge hatred on microsoft so much but oh well, what can we do?

Maybe it's time for someone to wake up with a severed Master Chief head in their bed. :p

Yes. Developers are left in the dark regarding certification. At best, they'll be told what stage an update is at. The process can take months.

Yes. Pissing off Microsoft is a bad idea, especially for a Seattle indie developer.

Uber is just as frustrated as you are. Hurry up and wait.

    Pity.

    You're whining. (Hint: Not proof.)

Microsoft is not lazy. Greedy, stiff, and incompetent at times, but slackers don't even get a chance to explain why manhole covers are round. Fall blockbuster and Kinect titles are the priority, not a $15 arcade game with a 200k user base.

If you want to nitpick, Uber is just as complicit for having a sub par QA team and opting for XBLA instead of Steam/PSN.

Gee, I dunno, Lenny...maybe stop buying products they release and titles they publish (including the ones you want) instead of encouraging Microsoft's desecration of the video game industry.

A flawed concept. Voting with one's wallet, as it were, doesn't work the way we wish it would. For one thing, there is currently no way to calculate non-sale "'no' votes."

    Otherwise, a fair assessment.

I know everyone keeps saying the bigger titles should take priority, and I'm fine with that applying to UNRELEASED games.

However, with a title like Monday Night Combat, an XBL only indie game release, which has been surprisingly successful, a patch is down right VITAL to keeping this fanbase going, spreading the word of mouth, and continuing an interest in this game so people will actually still be playing when they finally release paid DLC.

I know a lot of people speculated that Halo got priority patching (I don't play reach, and I've heard it was both a MS patch and/or bungie update) or that it SHOULD get priority patching, and thats pretty ridiculous. Halo made and will make TONS of money for MS regardless of the stuff they put out, and will have far less retention issues than an indie game people were playing as a stopgap while buying time for Reach. If I were MS I would be giving priority to all of the unexpectedly successful titles that have some major bugs rather than the guaranteed cash cow that people will continue to play regardless of what new content is released.

Reason and logic doesn't seem to work. Marketing always gets behind a sure success and ignores a potential success thus continuing the cycle of self-fulfilling prophecies . In the game publishing business, marketing departments control everything. The things that you think should be no brainers are usually the hardest. I know, it doesn't make any sense but it's been this way for the 13 years I've been in the business at pretty much all publishers.

It was not a patch. It was an internal Bungie playlist update. They didn't even have to think about Microsoft while putting it out.

Much more likely to help than complaining on Uber's forum.

If the developers pissing and moaning hasnt helped, what makes you think that "normal people" doing the same will push it along any faster?

We have to bend over and take it. And everyone knows this.

Most people seem to be saying they WILL take priority, only a few seem to be saying they should.

Logically, the games that have the most player demand will get the most attention. And I know that's against my own interest, as I play MNC daily and have never touched a Halo or CoD game, but it is what it is.

Dumb question: what is Microsoft actually doing with the patch right now? Letting it marinate? But seriously, are they looking at it for ESRB changes or stability or what?
