Looks like Steam crashed for everyone (after relogging all servers were empty and there were very few). Anyway, I've noticed that all my MNC settings were reset to default (binds, sound, video). Also, my cash on hand was wiped down to zero including all the highlights I've purchased. It even reset the finish tutorial highlight (meaning I need to re-do the tutorial to unlock Rookie). Not a huge deal, but I was close to getting the 6th slot unlocked so it's kinda a big chunk of cash/highlights to lose at once. Has this happened before? Anyone else get hit like this? Edit: I searched and found some others with this issue also. I'm not trying to whine, I understand everything will be wiped in 2 weeks anyway. However, if sort of thing happens after the game comes out it will be a real bummer.
Actually, it's a LOT worse than I thought. My 5 custom classes have been wiped. Is there a solution to this or am I just gonna have to pretend I didn't just play this game for 30 hours to have all my progress wiped? :\ It's not the end of the world, but the 2-3 games of using the default classes to get the $15k to have 1/5 my old setups back will just be really annoying and discouraging. Help? EDIT: It may be easier to just list what wasn't wiped when Steam crashed. My stats page in the the Locker Room, and my Highlights (besides Rookie as mentioned earlier) all remain. Except the stats obviously show $0 money on hand despite the $500,000+ lifetime earnings. The stats in the career page remain intact as well.
Doesn't seem to be the case for me, I just logged in. My cash is at the level it was at and my 5 custom classes are unlocked.
Just thought I'd mention that the exact same situation the OP describes happened to my brother when he was playing last night. Game crashed, and when he logged back in all his money and custom classes were gone.
I had the same issue when the Steam cloud sync failed one time as I started the game. I disabled cloud sync in hopes that doing so will prevent the bug
