PA Theta Commander

Hello,
I was wondering about the Theta commander. In the description on steam, it said that you could get it once your purchase PA on alpha. How do you use the Theta commander?

Currently the only available commander is the Delta Commander, as it is the only working Commander model as of the moment (the Imperial Commander might be close to playable, but not yet <3). As a result, everyone is using the Delta.

It's really a shame that they used the delta commander model for the alpha, because it will basically be taken away in the full game for everyone that hasn't paid $200. I would have prefered that the basic commander was given to us during alpha, so we don't effectively lose anything when the game goes retail.

Heh, I thought the Delta was part of the $90 tier.

Luck of the draw really. Considering how I'm sure the fleshed out nature of the Delta Design really helped(and is now helping again) to sell Cosmic Editions(which remember helps Uber make a better game) was a part in why the Delta was chosen to be fleshed out.

On the other hand, considering it was the Imperial Commander used within the Gameplay Visualization it's a little odd that it wasn't used instead, I assume it would be argued that despite having a "complete" design the extra worked to get it engine ready wasn't worthwhile considering it will likely have required additional work once the "ability" systems get put into place made doing any work undesirable until it can done with less of a chance of do-overs. But still, it might have avoided confusion regarding the Commander being used and if it's still exclusive and such but that doesn't mean it's necessarily the best option especially considering the overall funding model of the game we shouldn't be surprised that something that something new to help sell the game takes a bit more priority than something old that was used to sell the game originally.

Im sure Uber will give us something special at the and so players ,see in us players that participate in this project,i don´t belive we that pay = or + 90 euros,was for nothing

Alpha Pre-Orders get the Alpha Commander, Progenitor Commander and Theta Commander. Only $90 Backers and Cosmic Pre-Orders get the Delta.

Aside from that, there will be 6-8 built-in Commander models and the Pimp My Commanders that the $1000 backers.

We get the Alpha commander. Thats a huge alpha sign with spider like legs and a nuke on the back to protect himself :lol:

As for the rest of the 'stock' available Commanders we don't really know anything about those yet aside from the glimpses gleamed from the Alpha unit files, which aren't conclusive for anything really.

Actually Alpha Pre-orders get Alpha and Progenitor commanders as well. I ordered alpha late, it's in my receipt.

Also I'm pretty sure there was a question about Delta, I think $90 backers get him as well for their loyalty.

Well it's not listed as such in the Store.

And my Order can't be used as any kind of basis.

If we change the commander, will we have an other kind of army tanks plane bot etc ? like selecting an other race ?

No, there is only one unit pool that is the same for everyone.

Basically, we only have one commander at the moment, so everyone gets to use him.

However, at some point, you may lose access to certain commanders. The Delta being the most exclusive new one, and the theta should go to everyone who buys/plays before December.

The others, the progenitor and the alpha, will similarly be pretty limited. We'll provide more details as we go on how they unlocked, but especially for early folks, we're far more likely to be a little more generous with them, then be excessively stingy and risk people who should have gotten it not getting it. In the long run, all four current "exclusive" commanders will still be pretty exclusive.

I hope UBER don´t give us the same commander has ppl that will pay the released 45 euros!

We alpha testers don´t mean nothing to UBER?

Daam i already pay moore then 90 euros and never before have pay so mutch for 1 game!

As an alpha tester, you will have a special commander.
