We need a offical uber ladder quick though. These spawns can totally favor one player or the other. Im not seeing a way to quit games when my spawn is c*ap. Like the system in general though. Needs tons of work on spawns. I also need lots of learning on strange game mechanics. Lots of love to creator just needs work if uber doesn't hold up to their end of the bargin on a ladder. Also is there any other mods that r highly recommended for competive players that are sanctioned on ladder? Are all mods able to be used on ladder? Like the oh if im floating econ my facts kick in.......this seems lame. Shouldn't this be skill based? One player doesnt use, one does, is there not an inherent advantage there? I simply dont know the game in its current state and am wondering the boundries of the match along with can we quit if spawns r crap, if so how?
UI editing ones, yes, there's no actual rules on mods I server mods, but be gentlemen like. Basically UI editing mods are fine.
There's another dodownside, some of these mods put players at a severe disadvantage if not used. The premise of a ladder is an equal playing field. Were the most creative/skilled/experienced wins, not the" /"/" that stays up with best performance enhancing mods wins.
*Cant estimate time till match* Does this mean few ppl r on, or by losing first games, ive fallen out of rankings to be matched with active searching players? hum, maybe i shoulda fleshed out knowedge of meta before taking this on. Major props to modders creating this stuff though.
Regarding spawns, we had 9 maps were resonably fair spawns but the latest patch broke the mex distribution so the maps aren't as good as they were. Dox have been able to move underwater for a few months, Commanders have always been able to go underwater AFAIK. I think only mod I have installed that affects anything in-game is Hotbuild2 which offers an alternative way of hotkeying buildings than the default Uber one. https://forums.uberent.com/threads/rel-pamm-hotbuild2-v1-32-71937.54561/ EDIT: If it doesn't have a timer when you are automatching then it means that no-one else is waiting. You can get matched against any player but if its someone at the other end of the ratings then it could have a waiting time of 6-10 minutes. It will have a much shorter waiting time for people closer to your rating.
The Hotbuild mod is well worth installing. Takes some getting used to, but there's no going back once you are.
