Hi everytime I try to play PA it crashes after around thirty seconds, and says it's out of memory. I ran task manager at the same time and saw that only a third of my RAM was being used.
I've got a Windows 8 64 bit 8GB RAM and I've tried both steam and the official launcher.

Ok so it seems you are on a laptop with 64 bit W8, and you have no dedicated graphics card.
I think the you may run into memory issue with your integrated graphics

    Display Memory: 1760 MB
    Dedicated Memory: 128 MB
    Shared Memory: 1632 MB

That seems low and that could trigger out of memory crashe.

    Correct me if i'm wrong

I'm surprised the game loads at all with drivers that old.

do you ever use more RAM than that in other applications? It might be possible for there to be faulty RAM, though typically that would cause a total failure so that would be odd.

This "out of RAM" message caused by old driver. It's known behavior.

Whenever I look up new drivers on intel it just tells me that mine is a customised one from Acer, but when I got to their website I can either choose the same driver that I have (the one from Intel 2012) or one from NVIDIA (2014).

If you get "not validated for this computer" error download ZIP version of driver ("Win64_153322.zip"):
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=3712&DwnldID=23885
Then install it using this instruction:
