I've installed fully on my computer and I have the PA Launcher on my desktop. I double click on it and the icon appears in the bar at the bottom of the screen but that is all that happens! I check in Task Manager and the following is running: UberLancher.exe with approx 140,000k memory It's been like this for about 20 minutes so getting really frustrated. Is there anyone that can help me sort this out and getting working? My setup is: Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit 2gb ram AMD Athlon II X2 255 Processor (3.1Ghz) ASUS Asus GeForce 210 EN210 Silent PCIe Graphics Card - 1 GB Thanks
um.... I believe your your specs are WAY below minimum requirements.... I think you need like 6 or 8 gigs of ram, and maybe a 64-bit system. And Im not sure about your Graphics card.... From the specs of your computer, you musta had something previous to vista. Never seen a Windows 7 PC with ONLY 2 gigs of ram. Especially one with Enterprise. My advice....Get a new Computer
Yeah, I'm afraid so. Link to the minimum system requirements: http://support.uberent.com/kb/faq.php?id=11 The invisible launcher is due to the OpenGL not initializing correctly, and hence the invisible launcher. You can make it visible by installing DirectX June 2010, but as brandonpotter said, you are way below minimum system requirements.
Launcher problem caused by issue with Direct3D dependency, not OpenGL. Correct way to install what @DeathByDenim talking about: Download this package: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 Then run it, extract to accessible directory. Open this directory, find and run "DXSETUP.exe" installer. After installation finished try to run launcher once again. PS: Unfortunately as stated before your PC is below minimal requirements of this game.
Yeah, it's confusing though, because this shows up in the logs when it happens: Code: [02:44:15.999] INFO [COUI] PID: 7840 | 7876 18:44:15.320923 [7840:7876:ERROR: (0)] eglInitialize failed with error UNKNOWN [02:44:15.999] INFO [COUI] PID: 7840 | 7876 18:44:15.320923 [7840:7876:ERROR: (0)] GLSurfaceEGL::InitializeOneOff failed. (From this unrelated post. Well, not entirely unrelated, since it's the same problem.) Silly Coherent guys.
Problem is: first it's fail to initialize D3D context and it's not automatically swap to use software rendering. I doubt this EGL thingy ever worked with Coherent no matter what drivers/device is used.
