I recently just bought and downloaded Planetary Annihilation only to be greeted with this message. I launched it for the first time and it ran smoothly, through steam, for about 2-3 minutes and then it crashes giving me this error message. I also tried launching it through the steam files for bin_64 and bin_86 coming up with the same result. Not quite sure how to fix it and I know a lot of other people are having similar problems.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

    Hello,

Can you please start by posting your Dxdiag.txt as an attachment in your next post? It will help to diagnose the problem.

    Hello,

I noticed a lot of people posted those and I'm not quite sure how, is it a program I need?

Here's how to post your Dxdiag:

    1) Click Start (or tap Windows Key), then type 'dxdiag' without quotes. Press Enter.

    2) Click "Save All Information."

    3) Upload your Dxdiag as an attachment in your next post. Click "Upload a File," then browse for your Dxdiag.txt and click "Open."

Your Intel card drivers are almost two years old:
    Code:
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
    Driver Version: 9.17.10.2875
    Driver Date/Size: 12/26/2012 19:42:28, 12615168 bytes

It's up to you. Both will work, but if you don't mind wait few more minutes then you can install latest one.

It's official drivers package from Intel website.
    There nothing to worry about.

I'm told I don't have the requirements to install it? I finished the download and when I open it and extract the files, it gives me that message

Oopps... Looks like Intel abandoned HD 4000 in this driver update and I didn't noticed that.
    Sorry about that.

    As posted above already...

If you get "not validated for this computer" error download ZIP version of driver ("Win64_153322.zip") from same page and then install it using this instruction:

    Sorry didn't see that,
so now I've finished downloading the ZIP file I have put it on my desktop and have followed all the steps except for the last 2 dot points under "Step by step how-to for driver installation" however it wont allow me to use C:\desktop\win64_153322\Graphics
it says it's not a compatible software driver for the device and that i need to make sure it it's designed to work with Windows for x64-based system.

I've read through the guide 2 times and I believe I have followed everything correctly is there anything I missed? I'm sorry to be a bother about this issue.

I also noticed on the steam page you said the file is:
    igdlh64.inf
the one that shows up for me is:
    igdlh64
not sure if this helps or not but just an observation.
