With the latest patch it seems PA is crashing more and more. Its like 40% of the games I enter it will not crash.

First update your GPU drivers because currently it 4 years old:

Then go to your notebook manufacturer site and download/install updated drivers for sound/etc.

What hardware do you have? I'm on Linux and I don't feel like latest version crash often. My performance isn't perfect, but game is really stable.

    You have outdated video drivers:
    Code:
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M
    Driver Date/Size: 8/1/2012 09:02:00, 18247528 bytes
You need to download and install latest drivers from Nvidia website:

Also Google how to unpark your cpu cores and enable hyper threading. Make sure your laptop is also set to high performance.
