Beta Build: 54574 Quite a few pathing fixes to handle all the huge systemic changes we had in September New version of coherent. There should be far fewer UI crashes. If you see one, please post to our forums or the Steam forums with details. Client should handle multiple planet UI selection and behavior a bit better. This is still WIP, there are a lot of cases to handle here. Number of Linux fixes that should get majority of linux users back up and running, through Steam, or directly. Advanced Tanks are a bit smaller now Boats are now water depth aware. If it looks like they can't path through an area, they (probably) won't. Ongoing server performance tweaks and crash fixes. There is still one gnarly one we're trying to track down. The next few builds will include additional logging and ways to help us figure out the exact place. This crash is most often happening when your game has reached the space race phase.
Great! Happy this is fixed. UPD: This is not actually true, nobody will able to run PA from Steam as long as it's require newer version of libstdc++ than Steam runtime contain. But yeah, libboost-regex not required anymore. PS: New Coherent Based on Chromium 28.0.1500.68, cool
Other Changes LOAD command added to right command bar Can click on unit icon in selected units list Nebula shown on start screen background (looks nice!) Ctrl-Z: Select all units of the same type on screen
I don't see anywhere to download it, and 54497 won't let me play. Help, please! (Download site still shows 54497. I'm on Mac.)
linux build hasn't been pushed out to the download server yet, otherwise great work on the performance updates so far
There's likely to be continued work on this up to and long after release. It's a complex issue we've made more complex by choosing to go with spherical planets and arbitrary polygon CSG.
Wow i think im almost back to before FPS. didn have time to huge battle, but did a test 3 planet system. 60 fps solid on uber setting. Still some wierd choppy somtimes, but thats something odd and fps goes down to 59 from 60. Huge improvement, was down to like 30 before. Now game feels smoother again. Creating planets also feels faster.
Seems quite a bit more stable, no crashes as yet! One thing I've noted since the start of Beta and introduction of planet smashing & planetary engines: I play with an Nvidia graphics card and have never seen the rocket exhaust from the planet engines, my brother plays with an ATI setup and gets the effect every time. (both have fully updated drivers). I understand that these minor issues will get sorted out in time, but just taking note of it.
I have the same issue ( fully updated Nvidia), haven't checked in this patch but in the last patch the thrust was visible of to the side at a seemly random point in space
I wonder what the reason is to make the advanced tanks smaller. It feels wrong imho, They were bigger, slower and stronger. But by almost making them as big as Tier 1 tanks the first thought that comes to mind is that its just as strong.
Hi, Can't launch the new build Just got an error messagebox containing "LoadLibrary failed with error 87 : Paramètre incorrect" All previous PA's build were running fine. All the other games on my computer run without any problem. Edit : Just installed "amd_catalyst_13.4_legacy_beta_vista_win7_win8.exe" and all is OK
