This is a thread designed to solicit feedback from the community regarding how often they experience overtime related issues. Please do not give your opinion on if you like/dislike overtime or what you think should be changed about it. There are roughly five million topics on balance/gameplay functions or FAQs on overtime spread out across this forum. This is not one of those threads. Please don't derail it.

Please base your responses on a good faith estimate.

1: What % of the normal games you've played go to overtime?

1a: What about only Private matches?

2: What % of the normal games you've played last through the entire duration of overtime? (IE: The both money balls are still alive at the end of overtime, and the team with the most ball health wins.)

2b: What about only Private matches?

    3. What % of the normal games you've played have ever ended in a tie (both teams have the same moneyball health and the tie is broken by the team which earned the most cash?)

3b: What about only Private matches?

    4. In the games that do go to overtime, who usually wins: the team that is ahead in regulation, or the team that is behind? (Or is it seemingly random? Feel free to explain you answer here.)

    Other Optional Info:
    -Rank
-Do you normally play solo or with friends (and how many?)
-Whatever else you think is relevant. (Just don't troll or start a flame war here please.)

    1. 10-15% on average. Maybe only 5% if you remove the games that we specifically allow to go into overtime.

    2. I've only been in two matches that timed out in overtime, so <1%

    3. 0%

    4. When I play, I've noticed that whatever team I and my friends are on usually wins in overtime, so it's sort of random. I've only lost four or five matches in overtime, and have won all the others, even when the other team had full momentum, full moneyball health, and we were <20% on moneyball health. The win seems to default on whichever team more fully understands that there is no defending the moneyball in overtime and suicides it.

I play maybe <2% of all my matches by myself. I'm always in a team of at least 3. And rank? Like, earnings, matches won, kills, level?

    1) pubs: 75%
    1b) privs: 5%

    2) 0%

    3) 0%
    3b) 0%

    4) Pub: Random as hell.. depends on how many experienced players are on your team. You can't always do it alone.
4b) Privs: Whoever gets there first.

    99
    solo50% friends(4) 50%

other) people who play in privs and/or parties 90% of the time they are playing have a severely skewed view of the game. case it point, the answer you'll see to question #1. parties roll over pubs.

other b) people who play in pubs when their priv matches get tired, then take their party to pubs and farm kills have a severely skewed view of the game.

1: What % of the normal games you've played go to overtime?
I'd guess maybe 25-33%? It's a really big guess though.

I haven't done any private matches

2: What % of the normal games you've played last through the entire duration of overtime? (IE: The both money balls are still alive at the end of overtime, and the team with the most ball health wins.)

I can't say if I've ever seen this. If so maybe once or twice.

    3. What % of the normal games you've played have ever ended in a tie (both teams have the same moneyball health and the tie is broken by the team which earned the most cash?)

    Don't think it's happened.

    4. In the games that do go to overtime, who usually wins: the team that is ahead in regulation, or the team that is behind? (Or is it seemingly random? Feel free to explain you answer here.)

I can't say for certain; numerous times our team has been behind but then won in overtime (I remember recently with myself as a tank and a decent random as a sniper we came back from our ball being 10% health and theirs being untouched)

however I have to say that in my experience the team who is behind in regulation usually loses in overtime.

    Other Optional Info:
    -Rank 99
-Do you normally play solo or with friends (and how many?) about 80% of the time it's with friends, up to 3 others but usually only with one other.
-Whatever else you think is relevant. (Just don't troll or start a flame war here please.) possibly relevant; I'm a 99 but I'm pretty sure most other 99s are better than me. I regularly communicate with my team but rarely form strategies (as in ,ok we're screwed over here, let's take this player and this player to go do X while the others do Y)

    4. In the games that do go to overtime, who usually wins: the team that is ahead in regulation, or the team that is behind? (Or is it seemingly random? Feel free to explain you answer here.)

The team that organizes their attack. Generally, the team that has a sniper and/or tank attack the ball wins. In private matches, it's the team with map control usually.

    -Rank

    99

-Do you normally play solo or with friends (and how many?)

With friends. Usually I only go into overtime if I'm by myself or with 1 or 2 people. If we have at least 4, it always ends.

-Whatever else you think is relevant. (Just don't troll or start a flame war here please.)

Don't let the other team run into your spawn. Have some people kill them while your moneyball killers rush the enemy ball.

if no team wins before end of overtime, both teams are dumb as hell.

if both moneyballs have even health before overtime ends, both teams are so dumb, they deserve to immediately lose their xbox live gold membership lmao...

but as far as who wins overtime, in the last week 6 games that went into overtime was won by 1-2 juiced snipers hitting the moneyball. so reducing sniper/railgun damage to moneyball would make overtime more fair, if reduced by 1/2 damage or more.

    |__| like that much of the moneyball health is lost each juiced sniper round. and on my screen thats 1/9th of the health. since a sniper can shoot more than 9 times while juiced, id say thats too much...

but you can defend the moneyball in overtime. easier with a support with juice or a gunner or assault (but at least 4 teammates should still be rushing their moneyball as a group). and if your team bought a lvl3 lazor blazor or rokkit turret for every nub right before overtime, that helps.

    but...
~about 15% of games go into overtime
    ~.1% last through overtime
~none end in even health moneyballs
~who usually wins is the team who organizes the biggest and most collaborated rush force... with the exception of when one of the bases has 2 defenders and a massive amount of turrets and firebases... and the exception of juiced snipers
~im lvl 81, but i dont get on at least 3 days a week, so you do to math on what level i would be if i played an equal amount as you, Mr. [USER WHO THINKS THAT LEVELS MEAN SKILL]

1: What % of the normal games you've played go to overtime?

    2%

1a: What about only Private matches?

100% so far. Only played 3.

2: What % of the normal games you've played last through the entire duration of overtime? (IE: The both money balls are still alive at the end of overtime, and the team with the most ball health wins.)

Close to 0%. Maybe only happened 3 times.

2b: What about only Private matches?

    0%

    3. What % of the normal games you've played have ever ended in a tie (both teams have the same moneyball health and the tie is broken by the team which earned the most cash?)

    4. In the games that do go to overtime, who usually wins: the team that is ahead in regulation, or the team that is behind? (Or is it seemingly random? Feel free to explain you answer here.)

From my experience, the team ahead. However, this is assuming that the team ahead has a big enough lead against the other team (around 15%+ damage ahead of the opposing team, or the team with map control). If the teams are close to even, then it tends to be pretty 50-50 in terms of who wins.

    Other Optional Info:
    -Rank: 99
-Do you normally play solo or with friends: Both. I play around 25% of my games alone, and run with a group of 4+ the remainder of the time.
-Whatever else you think is relevant:
    • Mounting up a defense prior to OT is essential to winning in OT, as it will stall most Juiced players to killing turrents and the like.
Gunners, Assaults, and Assassins are better suited to protect the Moneyball, while Supports, Tanks, and Snipers should be demolishing the opposing one.

1: What % of the normal games you've played go to overtime?
    About 20-30%.

1b: What about only Private matches?
    I rarely play private matches.

2: What % of the normal games you've played last through the entire duration of overtime? (IE: The both money balls are still alive at the end of overtime, and the team with the most ball health wins.)
I've only ever played one game ever where that has happened.

2b: What about only Private matches?
    See 1b.

    3. What % of the normal games you've played have ever ended in a tie (both teams have the same moneyball health and the tie is broken by the team which earned the most cash?)
    0%

3b: What about only Private matches?
    See 1b.

    4. In the games that do go to overtime, who usually wins: the team that is ahead in regulation, or the team that is behind? (Or is it seemingly random? Feel free to explain you answer here.)
It's usually random. If they are defending when overtime comes, we usually all just juice in and destroy it. Sometimes some people get out, buy juice, and sneak into our base and destroy our moneyball while we're moving to theirs, though. It's really stupid.

    Other Optional Info:
    -Rank: 78 I think

-Do you normally play solo or with friends (and how many?)
I mostly play with friends, just 2-6 people depending on how many people join.

    1. No I didn't forget the percent sign, I've only seen it once.

    4. In the games that do go to overtime, who usually wins: the team that is ahead in regulation, or the team that is behind? (Or is it seemingly random? Feel free to explain you answer here.)
Unless it's a significant lead (ie 30% or more difference in health), I haven't noticed a pattern. If there is a significant lead, it typically still goes to the leading team.

    Other Optional Info:
    -Rank: 99
-Do you normally play solo or with friends (and how many?): Solo
-Whatever else you think is relevant. (Just don't troll or start a flame war here please.) Being a defensive minded person, I like to make sure my own base's defenses are reasonable before going on the attack. If there is not a direct fire turret or firebase covering a lane, I make sure to build one. If there are no available turret nodes (ie they're all destroyed), I actively defend until one becomes available. All of my custom classes have at least Silver armor endorsements, and all but Assassin use Rate of Fire endorsements.

well, i almost gurantee that the moneyball wasnt equally damaged, that is incredibly hard to occur as different weapons with different factors damage things differently. so the moneyballs were undamaged all game? that means 12 people deserve to lose xbox live gold. if you saw it, one of those is you?

lmao, no offence, just saying that somebody should have at least been able to poke the moneyball. richocets? long-range? arcs? AoE? juice-rushing? kamikaze-attack? a mass of buzzers? something?

    ---Around 20-25%

1a: What about only Private matches?
---It really depends since friends throw this statistic off due to friends being more laid back and willing to experiment.

2: What % of the normal games you've played last through the entire duration of overtime? (IE: The both money balls are still alive at the end of overtime, and the team with the most ball health wins.)
---Maybe like 5 games in like 2,000 games.

---There are comebacks, but they are in the minority if the team in the lead is competent and defending against juice properly. What dictates a win almost always comes down to juice control.

    1) Online, I usually don't get overtime involved. A pure estimation would be 10%. The game is often over before that. Privately, most of our games are tending to get overtime, about 60%. It should be noted that when I play private matches with my local group, it usually tends to be 3 on 3.
    2) When overtime does happen, I'd say maybe 20% or less will go to time. Privately, 10% or less. We can usually get someone rushing in well.
    3) I have no way of knowing a tie actually occurred. I've never had an instance where neither moneyball was ever hit, and even if health bars look identical, I can't imagine them ever actually being that way.
    4) Moneyball health is often irrelevant when overtime hits, unless one is extremely close to destruction. I've found it's more about how well-fortified they are, because those turrets will eventually hit the attackers too hard. Assassins and Snipers can somewhat easily get around this, though.

I am currently around level 10, but that's because I accidentally wiped my data from level 99. I play with friends about half the time. Additionally, I feel this is a transparent attempt at justifying overtime based on anecdotal evidence.

Uuhhh, I'd say about 25, maybe even up to 50%.

    Never played a private match.

Only two that I can remember. This is out of god knows how many matches, so..... .00000001%?

    No private matches.

One game, when it first came out. So.... .000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

    No private matches.

Seemingly random. I say this because if it hits overtime, usually I'm the one who brings down the ball. So, my team could have been dominating leaving them with 25% health, and we win. Or, they could've cornered us, but 20 seconds after overtime starts, my team wins. It really depends on the experience of players your with. Just assuming, purely unbiased, random pub matches though? Completely random.

    -99
-Normally solo, if with friends, then only one or two.
-I'm almost never an offensive class. I usually go Support, Assassin, or Assault. Take from that what you will.
