Overtime needs to be looked at

    First off I wanna say i am new to the Uber forums and I joined to submit feedback and because I am a big fan of the game. So anyway in crossfire I am sure you are all aware that when the time runs out the game goes into overtime and both money balls are dropped. Now I have nothing wrong with overtime; except one thing. You see, despite how good or bad each team did, overtime can be ended by literally one player who manages his money and buys juice to effectively end the game very quickly. This results in the entire match being pointless, as even the less skilled team could win by simply making it to overtime and spamming juice attacks. So my proposal is this; If a team does ANY damage to the other team and it reaches overtime, the team who did the most wins the match, essentially skipping overtime. However if neither team does any damage it DOES go into overtime, leaving the victor to a quick 2 minute decision. This would make the game much more competitive and fun, as the match the game before overtime would actually be important. Thank you for reading and i hope to see someone take this into consideration.

    i actually like this idea as me and my friends have falling victim to a random assualt or ninja buying juice and wiping us very quickly.

    but i guess thats the point really if your not good enough to grind out the victory in the 1st 15 mins then i guess thats the ultimate price to pay..

    I agree that this is a good idea. Several times I have lost in OT because the other team spammed juice. It is very, very frustrating.

    I had also suggested this perviously and I agree wholeheartedly. In modern sports the concept of Overtime (or Extra Time) is not something that is a common event. Sure there can be situations where it is more frequent but it requires both teams having an identical score. In the case of MNC, having one team damage a moneyball and the other doing less damage does not equate to identical in the least.

    Now I do understand that destroying the moneyball is the main objective but that should simply incur a money bonus, not force the game into overtime if it is not destroyed. I have seen matches where one team has the enemy's moneyball down to 25% and theirs hasn't even dropped and once overtime start the team that controlled the match has still lost. The question is, why did it go into overtime at all? To me it seems like a crutch for a poorly designed scoring mechanic. Hopefully this gets fixed because I couldn't imagine seeing a football game go into sudden death overtime where one team is winning 27-7 and the team with the 7 points kicks a field goal to win the match (10-27?!)

    I also completely agree with this. Overtime is a bitch to deal with.

    Over time ruins the whole point of teamwork and actually attacking the money ball when the battle cry is "Juice the ball in OT!"

    It also encourages people to play classes like Assault and Assassin for the very purpose of kill farming just to juice the ball in OT to win it with no regard for supporting the team.


    If I wanted death match I'd play halo or call of duty... not MNC.

    Very much agreeng with the fact that Overtime destroys the game at it's soul.

    This would definetly be a quick and relatively simple solution, however the time could be increased abit, and perhaps juice damage output should not affect the money ball this much.

    Got to agree with this one. I can admit that at times I'll play the support class just to be sure that if we don't win in the first 15 minutes we can take it to overtime and easily take them out.

    You guys need to watch the Devs play via Justin.tv. Just hearing them ramble about their game makes me realize MNC is unlike any other game so stop trying to compare it to another. Real Sports included. I think one match made it to OT and a Dev. himself Juiced rushed. From the looks of it, it seems as though it's not going to change...and I like it that way.

    See the thing about overtime is most players Juice rush the enemy Moneyball. What about Juice Defending? I say the main reason why "juice rushing" in OT happens is because it turns into a frenzy and teamwork is thrown out the window thus leaving each others Moneyball unprotected.

    Lastly grappling juiced players stops them from attacking and drains their 10 seconds of Juice.

    yup..it can be done very difficult though but with TEAMWORK u can stop them. lvl3.3 rocket turrets tend to help also and 2-3 firbases set up for defence go a loooong way to keeping your money ball safe on downtime

    I do agree maybe though its hard to accept a loss when u have been pounding the enemy only for 1 person to ruin what was basically a walk over..But as i said if u let it get that far we ALL know what's gonna happen so prepare for eventuality i say.

    Place a 60s cooldown on buying Juice. Everything else has a cooldown including ejectors, bot spawning and the annihilator so why not Juice? Every two paired terminals would be on the same cooldown just like paired ejectors work.

    Also, the OT juice effect needs to be removed. With all the Jackbot XLs being spawned the game should still be about lane pushing otherwise why bother spawning them? It should reward the team that has won the lane pushing battle instead of the team that has saved their money in order to juice rush. Is the game really just about juice rushing or is lane pushing the correct way to win? Once this question is answered it will dictate how OT is changed.

    That is exactly why I am waiting by the Juice buy roughly 30 seconds before Overtime with Juice of my own waiting. Although it is fairly hard trying to fend off two Gunners and an Assassin alone coming for that Juice.

    Steel Peel is the funniest. I've seen at least 4 players jumppad over to buy Juice as soon as overtime hits. lol When you are the only player knowing that juice rush is coming, seeing that, it's pretty intimidating.
