Hey guys (and gals?) I've been having an issue lately in pubs (specifically ones where I have to team carry); when the match reaches overtime (regardless of which team had map control) I can't seem to solo the opponent's money ball and hit it hard/quickly enough to kill it before the loss. I play an assassin with Armor/Skill/RoF and occasionally switch to Armor/Juice/Skill. I Juice-rush the moneyball in OT but when their whole team is focus-firing on MY moneyball while spawn-trapping/bombing, my team is helpless. I lost a game earlier tonight which seems to be the perfect example. We had pushed their moneyball down to just under 50%. there were no turrets and creep, at that point, was about even. I juiced and rushed the moneyball but quickly lost when I had gotten theirs down to about 2%. Any advice for the future? Thanks.
sounds like you got a bad case of "stuck with really bad team mates" syndrome. not much can be done there.
With about a minute left, switch to a Support class. Possibly one with gold juice. Proceed to give much needed SHOTGUN RAIN, to that parched enemy Moneyball.
So I switch to a support to Juice-Rush... how do I manage to break the spawn-trap and deployed heavies without drawing attention to the fact that I'm gonna go feed lead to their moneyball. I could let teammates set off traps then sneak through a side exit I suppose but it seems like I'd be just as trapped... :/ I'll have to just see what happens I suppose.
With 550 dollars you can upgrade your 1st passive skill, then have money left for a clutch passive... you don't need your other skills in OT. avoid the traps... I don't know how else to put it. I don't have problems.
The shotgun might have a slightly hight DPS on the moneyball than the Assaults grenade launcher, but the Assasult can definitely get the job done from a safer distance if the enemy has a strong defense. Not only that but he should be able to escape a spawn trap easier than a Support. I can't say how because Uber still hasn't made it clear if it's an exploit...
It will take at least 2 full shotgun clips while juiced to finish off a full health Moneyball. It might help to practice a full game using only the shotgun that way you know it's range and all that stuff. "Why would I need to do that I am going to be right next to the Moneyball?" Well you'll have to be able to get there.
I'm familiar; I main Assassin, Tank, and Support. I only really started getting into Crossfire recently (think like 4 days ago) I play a strong Tank and Support but I've really been putting in my time with the Assassin as it really fits my play style. Not sure what happened, it just clicked and I became obsessed with this game and am dead-set on honing my skills at the game. Still playing as a free agent though. I digress... I'm aware of the shotgun's range I just haven't really been using the support to mess up a money ball.
That juiced shotty will end a match quick. Couple of tips for shooting that moneyball in an empty base. Airstrike any firebase that might shoot at you, they seem to do a good amount of damage to juiced players, and if they have a hacked rocket up, try to use the moneyball as cover. Im pretty sure u can get point-blank on the ball, opposite a rocket that's shooting at you and it will hit the moneyball, not you. Yes, you might get hit by the other turret, or u could airstrike/hurtgun one on the way in.
2 juiced clips doesn't quite do the job against a full health money ball but in over time with two full health moneyballs, the damage is massive. A friend showed me the shotgun strategy and I just **** with how quickly it went down. If no one plays defense in overtime, I will. Ridiculous.
The problem is he's saying he needs to stick around after that juice run and kill the money ball. The Assault is the much better class because of it's mobility. You can wreck the moneyball while juiced and then just grenade/bomb it one or twice to finish it off. The support will more then likely be dead after the juicerush since he's slow, fat, and obnoxiously Italian. If you need to carry your team I'd say assault. If you know at least one of your teammates will make it to the moneyball, then by all means shotgun away. TLDR; Good Teammates: Support Bad Teammates: Assault
The others have pretty much covered what you can do in overtime. However, I would say also, make sure you're making the most out of map control before overtime if you have it. If my team has total map control, as an assassin, I farm bots for juice. Then, use said juice to kill their turrets. I then use any money I have to build/upgrade my own turrets. In other words, if you don't see an easy opportunity to kill the money ball, your job as an assassin should be to make sure that, when overtime starts you have a base full of turrets and they have a base full of smoking nubs.
