Over 100 builds later ...

    Planetary Annihilation hit a milestone recently, releasing their 100th build. I missed a couple of builds at one stage :)(), so I'm not exactly certain, but I think the 100th released build was 71378 (let me know if I'm missing any here).

    So a belated congratulations is in order!

    Yeah water's the only thing I miss, the water was more opacite and reminded me of some nice sparkling beaches of the bahamas :D

    Yeah, not sure what's going on with the water these days, it's almost flat and featureless, a partial side-effect of the lighting I think. It about the only area I prefer the SUPCOM look.

    water used to have a climbing and receding shoreline it actually changed dimensions making it "move", rather than only moving textures on it's surface.

    Oh! That kinda move, yeah, it did do that. But apparently they felt it was top confusing for players at times, not being able to tell what's pathable.

    that's gotta be the dumbest reason ever for a feature removal, not because something being confusing it’s such a bad reason, .....but because it doesn't apply!

    for me the question didn't even pose itself, that feature had to be in!

    While it surely is the 100th public build that was released to us,

    but what does that number mean? Private builds? How does Uber define the game's version number exactly? Does it go up by one every time they compile everything and build? :rolleyes:

    Yep, it's the number of commits into the Uber Perforce Repository. Worth noting that the repository isn't just for PA, so not all of those commits were for this game.
