Was it intentional to make it so they can only do global patrol now? I rather liked being able to have avengers patrolling in a tight area above my base. Orrrrrr is this a problem only I'm having?
The last time I've used this it was working, but that was probably a week ago. I don't recall ever needing to area patrol avengers, they become less effective.
Well, once I get enough I tend to put it on global patrol, but if you don't have absolute control over the planet how do you deal with umbrellas?
yessssssss, but the entire point of the area commands is to not have to queue commands I thought. Not to mention, having literally all other patrollable units able to do a limited area patrol and then having a limit for a single unit seems odd to me. Granted, its orbital, but up till release it worked fine. Its not a huge issue, and it seemed like a bug to me since it used to have full functionality.
I noticed several times that avengers on areal patrol (whole planet), tends to patrol on the half sphere the command has been issued. Have to set a second factory on the opposite side of the planet to cover it efficiently. Anyone noticed that ?
Well, I just played two games in a row where orbital patrolled globally or local without issue, and my dox and aircraft global patrol was working fine too.
I tested again yesterday evening avengers global area patrol and it doesn't work well (only half a sphere).I wasn't able to make the replay work to illustrate it and open a bug report (maybe because I used cheat server mod to speed up things). This may be related to the planet data (radius ?), I don't know.
How weird. I remember having a problem with it doing half spheres for me at one point, but that was around gamma and didn't last longer than a patch. I'm realizing this should probably be a support thread, how do we get this moved?
Ok, so I just reproduced it (without cheats, so a bit longer, took my sweet time ) Replay ID : 1325011695830928408 From 11' to then end. Notice the lone avenger which seems lost on the other side, around 12'30 Opened an item for it : PA#4133
