I played a game against some AI that had a lot of anchors above his base and figured it'd be cool to have some sort of anti orbital super weapon. I was thinking about some huge laser gun like thing that shoots an orb of energy (just to make it look cool) to the place you want to attack. When it reaches that place it explodes and creates an EMP like blast that wrecks all orbital units in range. No clue about what the range should be or how much it should cost, I'll let people with understanding of balancing things think of that. Would be nice if it was an orbital unit, but land based could work just as well.
Nukes were supposed to start hitting orbital a while ago, but they weren't. So that will be fixed, you know, soon. You still target them on the ground, so that does make it dubious to use them to clear orbital over your base.

I'd like EMP to be a thing in PA... The EMP weapon could be much cheaper than a nuke as it doesn't destroy anything, just stuns (so requires good timing)... Dropping an EMP then pouring huge numbers of units out of a gate whilst your opponent watches in horror would just be epic >

I kinda like this EMP thing over nukes though. What happens when someone gets a large orbital presence over your own base? You not gonna want to nuke yourself...
Paralyzing attacks are okay, but for the love of god don't go crazy with them. Certain siege units depend on energy to be dangerous. Countering them with a "mana burn" style of attack can be just as debilitating.
