Will there ever be an orbital construction unit? It would be awesome to build space stations and maybe a death star like planet demolishing unit. The space stations could link together and then build units and drop them onto the planet. When the space station gets destroyed it would break into pieces and then randomly drop giant destructive debris everywhere. If the death star like ship gets destroyed it would start floating off into space but would be big enough for a unit to land on it, build like 2 engines and fly it into a planet. Anyone else think that would be pretty neat?
I think that is quite a good idea, but only if the space stations make a Death Star type thing and land units because Planetary Annihilation is meant to be surface combat so te space station couldnt make space ships that would attack other ones.
Yeah, the space stations would build stuff like energy collecting satellites that you can send to the sun to collect huge amounts of power, a fighter and planetary bomber bay, the death star, and also a unit launching facility that would either build one shot rockets that about 10 units would fit in and then would be fired at the selected planet or just dropped from orbit from the factory. Maybe it could also build a giant nuke that could attempt to blow apart incoming asteroids?
Are there any counters to asteroids? I remember in the concept trailer that nukes were launched at one and it broke apart as it was coming down. Maybe have an orbital station that could warn about unusual orbits and enemy movements through space.
