Could u make it so that there is an offline mode or something, like, how to explain... you log in still but you can verse an AI in offline mode so the games still not using internet. Australian wireless is horrible and it still lags when your playing versing an AI, i dont see the point
i agree, at $12 per gb of data on optus prepaid it sucks But if it was released with an offline mode i can assure you there would be a hundred thousand cracked copies on the net. On release or close to release uber will release the offline mode an stuff. I can't wait for Lan mode
what i mean is, you still have to sign into your account, but theres just an option for offline mode so no one can see you online but you can still play versing AI
yes i know and if it was like that you would have a small server running on your pc, and if it was like that i could rip it off myself with my current skills and so could many other people on the internet with more skill than me, so , id say no its very unlikely it will run without server side access for %90 of playing until release.
Do a search before posting. This has been talked about before and is already even in the confirmed list of features. There will be offline mode upon release. Also, optimizations will be made to decrease the amount of bandwidth required for online games.
Right now there's no offline mode because everything's played on Uber's servers. We don't have the server software to run our own games, that's why the download is currently as small as it is- we're just getting textures and the like. Closer to release they'll let us have the server as well, once it's done. Right now it's easier/faster to update if we only have to load balance/texture/graphical changes to patch.
