    BX's REVIEWS: Brink

Hello. My name is Tru BX Skillz. I have just joined the forums and my friend asked my to create a new forum review series. I agreed and the first game he requested was Brink. First off, I honestly raged SO MANY TIMES on this game. The easy difficulty in this is like veteran difficulty in Call of Duty. The AI on your team most of the time are rarely doing anything except going for the command post, while the AI on the other team act like automatic aim bots on sight. The AI teams are extremely unbalanced and you will most likely be pulling your hair out trying to do all of the work. The parkour system, on the other hand, takes a new twist on first the person shooter community. The game feels like a mixture of Team Fortress 2, Mirror's Edge, and Call of Duty. The parkour adds more variety to play styles as it provides complications. Now on to the gameplay itself. If you are the type of person who loves to lone wolf in first person shooters, then you are going to want to burn this game. You absolutely need teamwork if you want to succeed in this game. It's something that a lot of hardcore gamers don't understand, which also introduces a new level of difficulty. There are also some customization options included. You can upgrade your abilities for your classes, your look, your body type, and your gun attachments. While this feature is cool, there is one major flaw. You can gain the customizations way too easily. Your max level count is 20 which is already a flaw on its own. The even worse part of it is you gain experience from doing basically ANYTHING. Not surprisingly enough, you can even gain experience from doing absolutely nothing. The guns receive a ton of attachments from doing a single challenge. Thankfully enough they made the challenges hard as hell, so THAT'S another reason you would want to break this game. The online experience is fun but the lag in most games is just terrible. They recently released an update for the lag issue but I still so no difference. Brink receives two smileys   out of 5. If you have any suggestions on games for me to review, please do not hesitate to request. THANK YOU!

    BX's Reviews: Bloodwing's Pumpkinhead's Revenge

Okay. I'm just going to be absolutely blunt about this. This is literally the worse first person shooter/puzzle/real-time action game I have ever had the displeasure of even witnessing.

This game is supposed to be connected to the movie "Pumpkinhead 2", which is a horror movie about some evil demon thing, which has absolutely no correlation with the first movie. I know a lot of people are going to point out that this is an EXTREMELY old game. I can consider that but that doesn't excuse the fact that THIS GAME MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER!

Still don't believe me? Fine. What would you think if I told you that you don't use a fire hydrant not to put out fires, but to recover health? Yea, I thought so. This game makes literally no sense if you're trying to make any connection to the movie.

This game is even more frustrating than retarded. You are supposed to enter portraits that show you clips from the movie. You are also supposed to grab objects in the movies to continue, but you are also supposed to grab items in the treasure chests outside of the portraits.

This all sounds easy, but there is one HUGE problem with this. If you steal the wrong objects from the wrong clips (AND I HAVE NO DAMN IDEA WHICH ARE THEY) two evil girls start taunting you and take your inventory...your ENTIRE INVENTORY! which means you have to collect the items...again...and again...and again until you take your PC and blowtorch it.

All the while you are making your way through the endless maze of the world of pumpkinhead (which ALSO has nothing to do with the movie) you are being attack by some weird white monster thing. The look like Frosty the Snowman's retarded clones.

Once I finished the level (and there is a lot more crap you have to do before you complete it) I was so relieved that this nightmare was finally over...until I saw that there was a second level. After that I just left my friends house, trying to control myself from Falcon Punching the monitor screen!

I honestly wish I can give this game a negative rating, but that's not exactly my style. So Bloodwing's Pumpkinhead's Revenge gets one huge middle finger...uh I mean smiley  out of 5.

IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT I SHOULD REVIEW (MOVIES, GAMES, VIDEOS, ECT.) PLEASE REPLY OR PM ME!

    Thanks for reading!

I like your disorganized, rambling reviews.

    It seems more honest.

    Anticipations: Call of Duty MW3

As many of you have already heard, There is going to be a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Most of the gaming community are just excited of the announcement. There have been several trailers, one including actual gameplay. Here is a link to the trailer below:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IiVQR4s2iw

Now for the darker side of this. While most of the world is amazed by the preview, some are actually cautious of the game. A lot of the CoD fans were extremely disappointed with the outcome of Call of Duty: Black Ops. I personally love Black Ops and am extremely excited for MW3.

Unfortunately, this caution in the gaming community has also brought about some rumors about the game. I even heard in a YouTube video that MW3 was going to be a "Pay to Play" game for the online interaction. While I don't believe this rumor (and hope to GOD that it isn't true) this rumor and much other slandering rumors have been spreading rapidly.

There is a bright side to these rumors, however. There have also been talk about a new survival gamemode included in the game for cooperative play. I am only assuming that the creators had some inspiration from Treyarcs famous gamemode "Zombies". The new zombies in Black Ops was actually elected most favored and anticipated feature (and is also my favorite :D ) It is supposed to be a survival against wave after wave of incoming military forces.

As for the online multiplayer, I unfortunately haven't received any information on new weapons, maps, killstreaks or anything of the sort. What I have heard, however, is that there might be a new feature called team perks. I'm not exactly sure what these are used for, but if I had to guess I would say they are miniature perks used only to help your entire team out in the tiniest inch.

That's all the information I have on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. If you liked this review (or anticipation) please reply and PM me request on which games, movies, TV shows, etc. to review next. Thanks for reading!

The main reason I want to play Modern Warfare 3 is because of the story. I'd like the multi-player to be solid but those bastards will pay for what they did to Ghost.

    Also,

    BF3 or MW3?

There has been a lot of conflict recently about whether Battlefield 3 would be a better game or MW3. I've seen some gameplay for both games and it's very hard to pick sides...so I wont :D I will say, however that I am most excited for Battlefield 3. I'm not picking sides, I'm just saying my opinion. Post a reply and tell us which game you are most excited for. Thanks!

    Review: F.E.A.R. 3

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't had a review up in a while, I've been very busy for a bit. I'd like to say that, unlike my previous reviews, that I'm actually not going to completely bash this game for its faults. Actually I am quite pleased on how this game turned out.

The original F.E.A.R. was scary as hell. It provided a great amount of action, mixed with a good amount of scary scenarios to leave you having nightmares. F.E.A.R. 2, on the other hand, was reviewed, by many critics, to be a piece of ****. I never played F.E.A.R. 2, unfortunately, so I really can't comment on the bashful reviews on it. Let's see if F.E.A.R. 3 can surpass it's original success, and more importantly, it's original failure.

F.E.A.R. 3 has about 8 main missions, and that's not including other play through's as both Point Man and Fetel. Most missions are mainly focused on the action this time around, which kind of worries me due to the fact that the F.E.A.R. series is notorious for it's mind scrambling scenarios and frightening jump scares. In this game, it seems that the developers really disregarded the scenarios they were known for and turned this game from a horror survival game, to a run and gun game.

The combat system on the other hand is not actually that bad. The AI are actually challenging and not complete idiots like in certain games. The AI have enough difficulty set to them that it gives you a challenge, but are also vulnerable enough to give you a way to become victorious. The weapons are specialized in certain situations, but most likely you will be using the SMG the majority of the time. No weapon seems to be OP except for the shotgun, and even that has a few noticeable nerfs in it. The developers also included a cover system in the combat. While many games had trouble getting a good cover system in the past, F.E.A.R. 3 actually pulls off this system fairly well due to it's pros and cons.

The multiplayer has some interesting aspects to it as well. They have a total of 4 game mods, and specific maps for each gamemode. They 4 game mods are Contractions, Soul King, Soul Survivor, and F**cking Run!...yes I said F**cking Run! Each gamemode have somewhat interesting goals for each, but it seems as if the game disregards the more basic gamemodes, like Team Deathmatch and Free for All.

All in all, I am very glad that the game turned out the way it did. Hopefully in the next F.E.A.R., if there is another F.E.A.R., They contain the great combat system in this game, but also try to bring the original scary scenery back. This game receives 4 smileys     out of 5. Thank you for reading!
