Offense vs defense is horribly out of whack

    I played two games tonight and got tank/artillery rushed in both. In the second one I could see the units coming in but my defenses (both lasers and cannon) appeared to be doing almost nothing. In addition, all of my buildings were exploding after one hit. I'm sure lots of tuning will come in the future, but right now things are so far out of balance as to make it just about impossible for my style of play. Seems like rushing is the only thing that works.

    If your buildings were exploding in one hit it's likely whoever you were playing against was using the "delete enemy units" bug against you.

    I've defended against rushing with only defensive structures several times now with no problems, but artillery k-bots are definitely a little too powerful right now.

    This is only an alpha. Balance is mostly an afterthought at this stage.

    Protip: build aa bots/tanks and t2 stompers (the ones with the dual barrels). Proceed to win.

    The Tier 2 laser defence is immensely powerful.

    I've got to say I agree, in the late game it's totally a stale mate unless you have ships.

    The laser defences will eat pretty much anything thrown against them, and with some art support it just turns into a massive turtle game.
