Just get a 120hz/144hz lcd or a crt, same result, probably for a lesser cost. Screen tearing would be a complete non-issue anyway if every game would allow users to set a max fps (screen refresh rate in hz * 2 = your max fps value). Edit: Nvm, John Carmack was apparently involved somehow, therefore I'm going to let go of all skepticism and say this is probably gonna be great
