Nukes & EMP

    So question... how come no EMP effects?

    read up on Starfish Prime
    Some form of disruption would be ... novel, mutually assured disruption obviously, unless you issue a... powerdown in time: risk-reward - shut everything down for 5seconds just incase a high alt nuke is going off & get a surprise attack OR don't shutdown and the UI has some funky distortion for 15seconds?

    Disabling robots to destroy them would be as effective as destroying robots, dont you think?

    For instance the scenario you describe:

    Game designers generally shy away from things that take control away from the player, at least good ones.

    Other than that... You realize that your weapon once built has almost unlimited power. Making your enemy switch off it's production...

    while EMP is an interesting idea.. no nuke buff :) and adding it would be a buff

    Now change your subject to "Asteroids should be mega nukes, not planet smashes".. I'm all over that! :)
