Not my preferred fps style, but this looks impressive

Seems similar to every other Quake game, but I like the art style a -lot- for it. A lot cleaner than most other games in the style

Looks nice but since it's a kickstarter project I'm not holding my breath on whether or not this will actually be a thing.

Yeah. They're even getting the announcer from Quake 3.

They didn't list weapons. I prefer projectile heavy shooters.
They showed some bunny hopping momentum shenanigans without explaining how it works on their engine.
I'm not sure if I'd like it.

I love me my arena shooters, but to be honest I've never been a fan of Quake's trick oriented gameplay. The fast paced super awesome shooting that results is awesome. But there are better ways to do that than silly technical tricks.

What are these tricks you're talking about?

Timing your scroll flicks and remembering to countersteer your feet. It's tedious and if you **** it up even the slightest bit you screech to a halt.

I LOVE the conservation of momentum bit, but the inputs are annoying even after I've gotten the hang of them.

I was a hard core Q2 junkie back in the late 90s, so this looks incredibly appealing. I hope they keep the look clean, without a bunch of muddying visual filters and crap.

Even the blocked out levels look like a lot of fun to play, honestly.

Looks awesome!! Its feels really amazing when you own while playing like this! Reminds me of CSS with surfing. When the surfing & killing goes well it is just so awesome!!

I backed this shortly after cleaning up the drool on my desk after watching the video. It is like a Quake player's dream. And they have what looks like a fantastic prototype/alpha game already.

I too played a lot of Q2 back in the day. It was the first game I ever played online! Nostalgia :D Then went on to Quake 3, absolutely love the 'purity' of those games. Slick gameplay.

Sadly, it doesn't look like it will meet its target :(

Really looking forward to this one. The movement is based on cpma, which is a mod for quake 3 (people who browse the smnc section will probably be quite familiar with it ;)).

    Looks quite similar right?
Obviously the game isn't finished and as far as i can tell trying to expand on that basis, but the game they're founding it on is already quite awesome imo.
