Kills basically don't mean much in this game. I mean they're valuable but it's not the main point of the game.
You're entitled to your opinion and it's kind of irrelevant because it's not really an answer to what I was asking.
I think he said that because he (and I'm guessing the developers) don't want a kills leaderboard because it would put more emphasis on kills, which isn't the focus of the game.
I'd rather there not be a kills leaderboard period, but if there's already one... Why do you want a weekly one anyway, what's the point of them?
To see how many kills I get each week. Why are you so anti leaderboards? Especially if Uber actually has been swiping cheaters away (though there is still boosters..) Who cares if people go for kills? Killing people helps the team. I'd rather have some guys on my team who only care about kills and can actually kill people rather than a bunch of support and sniper guys just camping my base while the other team is pushing into our spawn while i'm trying to fight back.
Well, you can't control how your team plays. I figure if there wasn't a kills leaderboard, there would be less problems with people playing like this game was a team deathmatch. But in all reality, it probably won't make much of a difference. So I don't care whether there is one or not that much. If there already is a kills leaderboard, Uber might as well go the extra mile to make a weekly one, too. I'd actually rather have a bunch of supports and snipers on my team camping the base. At least you know that your turrets will be safe and the bots will have a hard time getting in while you push lanes and kill distracted pros. If people are only concerned about kills, the moneyball doesn't go down easily in my experience. But to each his own I suppose. I will agree that kills help the team, to a point.
It's hard to kill enemy pros 2v1 and 3v1..trust me, i've been there where am i the only person leaving spawn. I really don't care how people play the game but that's always been the one thing that gets me and the snipers that do that are usually the ones trying to play team deathmatch. Kills give your team map control and map control is what wins games.
I agree with you to an extent. I've been kinda successful in 3 vs. 1 (mainly because of newb assassins trying to kill me while I play the tank), but I completely understand what you're saying. And I agree with too many snipers on the team. But I'd still rather have a well fortified base. And kills are not the only thing that give you map control (though it's probably one of the more important reasons). But we don't really need to discuss this. Like I said, weekly leaderboards might as well be implemented. It's probably not going to change things. I'm always up for an idea that doesn't change the game too much. It doesn't need to be fixed until there is an obvious need for it (like juice...).
Whether you think there should be a weekly leader board or not, it is a bit off that there is a weekly and overall leader board for every crossfire statistic except for kills.
