I just realized that the overlay isn't coming up anymore, like it did,,,,,, win 7, and I have steam installed and running.

Is the overlay just for steam users now?

You always can get it back by adding game in Steam as custom application.

Probably Uber now make two different builds: Steam and non-Steam.
You might get Dependency Walker and check if game linked with steam_api64.dll or not.

Works if I launch pa.exe from steam after adding it as a custom app, but not if I do so from the uber launcher. 2 icons to click instead of 1 and a button    Heheheheh...... Many thanks! I might actually do this for my other few non steam games :D

You are correct in that we don't automatically do the steam thing in the non-steam version.

The builds are both the same so technically it can be made to work with the right encouragement.

Is this the reason why I can't make screenshots anymore by pressing F12?

Is it sad that this is what made me notice it was gone, and not chat :(

But, it's back now! Just boot the launcher to update, then launch PA thru the steam shortcut. Easy enough :D
