What would MNC be like if K:D stats weren't posted after every match, didn't have a bunch of the unlockables centered around kill milestones, or weren't tracked at all? Wonder if people would recognize the objective focus more overall instead of individual performance.

I'd be all for this, but I fear too many people play for the egotrip and wouldn't enjoy not getting to admire themselves at the end of the match.

    There goes the player base

But without K:D, how would be be able to quantify how much better one person is over another?

I don't think that the K:D ratio is a bad thing. I do think that bot kills, assists, ejector uses, and annihilator uses should be listed as well. Some of the best support players lack pro kills, but have tons of bot kills.

    EXACTLY

Funny thing is. My KD has gone down .5 since I stopped playing gunner. Though I do enjoy breaking out my gunner to go 3v1 against the best gunner and tank in the game and killing 2 outta the 3.

    Fix'd.

There are plenty of defensive and objective-based ProTags - Turrets built, Bots destroyed and Turrets destroyed spring to mind. However, killing Pros is as important as pushing Bots.

I appreciate a good slayer to make my job pushing bots easier.

If anything i would like to see less money for kills and streaks and more money for destroying the two main base turrets, a bonus for getting the ball down for all the team and then a **** load of cash for actually hitting the ball.

Maybe a killstreak could be a discount on turrets or a free use of the annihilator.

He fought you twice ...at the same time!

I wouldn't mind no k.d at the end game screen and locker room.
In a objective game it doesn't really make sense.
It makes all the cod kids that think k.d = godliness focus on that little number more than what's going on in the game itself.
Hell most of the time they aren't good at killing either, but that's what they do the whole game.

Wait, this game isn't Call of Duty? I thought the name of the game was Call of Duty 6: Monday Night Combat.

Killing is one thing, but a stat that tracks it is vs deaths is irrelevant in an objective based game and detracts from the big picture.

Don't get me wrong a good slayer is an asset, but the people that strictly focus on that small number aren't really helping.
If every slayer was a peachy or a deadeye than no biggie, but a lot of them are just plain bad and are focusing on the wrong thing.

I've seen low levels purely bot killing and really help the team. Even if they die a lot, they are helping maintain map control because lets face it killing bots is easy most of the time.
In the same game if they just focused on k/d with the same skill level they would just be dead weight.

In my opinion, that stat is unnecessary and just promotes not going for the objective.
Obviously it's not going anywhere as it is a staple in almost every multiplayer game released and I'm sure I'm in the minority on this, but it's just my two cents.
