No Green Spawn Areas

Whenever I start up a new game, using a computer generated system, it doesn't show me the green circles where I'm allowed to spawn. Everything else is fine, I can still look around the planet and zoom out and open the menu, but to spawn I have to click randomly until my commander is placed. I don't have any mods installed, and I have a pretty chunky computer. So, I'm not sure what the problem is.

Is anyone else having this problem? Any ideas on fixes?

Well that's really odd. Haven't heard that one before. Do they render on the other planets?

Nope..

Also, when I select units there's not little circle thing around them, like there normally would be in an RTS. I don't know if that's a beta thing, or related to this. Perhaps worth mentioning.

There's been some issues with the UI, check a few other threads. I know it's been mentioned somewhere...

For me, turn off the cinematic mode solved this problem.
