http://waywardstrategist.com/2015/0...lation-another-chance-turned-out-really-well/ nice to see some good press.
Interesting read. Also surprising to see someone crediting orbital as a linchpin of the game, rather than dismissing it as fiddly and boring.
Is it? He's one of the people working on the Orbital Overhaul Mod- yet the reviewer says he enjoys orbital. Plus he plays PA quite a bit as far as I can understand, which doesn't seem to fit the review either. I could be wrong though. @emraldis
I generally like the fact that this review says that many of the things people criticise the game for are actually good things: Spherical maps, and the difficulty of keeping up with what is going on, obviously a lot of people here like this, but I still see a fair few people supporting flat maps. Small unit roster. And orbital, as you mentioned. I think the review does a very good job of judging the game on it's own terms, and not criticising it for not being SupCom. I personally enjoy PA a lot because it isn't the same as the other RTS offerings out there, of which there aren't many to start with, so it would be a shame to copy something existing. If you go into it expecting SupCom or TA, then yes, you will be disappointed, you've got to play it as PA, even if it bears quite a few similarities to the previous games.
