new to setting up servers. not looking for spoon feeding.

    This is most likely a newbish question, so sorry in advance. Once I have the MNCDS set up, will I still need to be logged into my steam account to keep the server running? I've got my server computer and a separate gaming rig but I'm not sure if need to create a separate steam account to keep the server running.

    No, when you use the MNCDS it should automatically start with the -STEAM_DEDSERVER parameter. which will start the server without the need to login to steam.
