So something that I am noticing with battlefront, and now with the rumor of a Star Wars Imperial Commando, is that new games are not being made in the Clone War era, and yes, while this is only two games, one only being a rumor, it does make me wonder, Why? How come Disney is so determined to only make OT related games and marketing?

In my opinion, the Clone Wars is a much better timeline for video games, it just feels more sci-fi, the atmosphere is heart bounding. While I get that it is mainly to promote the new movies, the PT taking place 60 years before the new. I feel it is a little unfair, as of now the only thing that is PT based, more accurate, Clone Wars based is a few comic series.

Now, this is based off the rumor that a sequel to Republic Commando is coming, and it is jumping to the dark times with in the Star Wars canon. while this is an interesting time, its only interesting, to me, because of how the empire rids the galaxy of the remaining jedi and CIS holdouts. The really good stuff for the OT comes during the galactic civil war... which starts about 2 years before A New Hope. If this game is real and does come out, I hope it is not us fighting rebels since, as shown in the Rebels show, they are all still just cells 5 years before ANH.

sorry about the mini rant, but what do you think? is Disney only going to make OT games? Should Clone Wars era based games be made, like a Clone Wars Battlefront or Clone Wars era reboot to the commando game?

Again, this is based off the rumor that a Imperial Commando game is coming in the future.

Well if this is true, then I guess it would be some sort of sequel to Republic Commando. And that was 100% clone wars so it's not like they'd be taking a step back.

I understand it from that standpoint, its a sequel, but that is 2 years of the Clone Wars being skipped. Its not the game itself, but the lack of anything on Clone Wars era games that bug me, I really wished battlefront had clone wars stuff.

That and I had an awesome idea for a Commandos reboot.

Republic Commando ends with the invasion of Kashyyyk. That happened during RotS. Republic Commando is at the very end of the clone wars you derp.

oh ya, sorry forgot:confused: .. but now that I think about it as of now, it is not canon, so unless it becomes canon again, making an Imperial Commando would not make sense, unless it follows a new team.
