Yeah I noticed that in the last PTE. Really cool stuff.

Although it could be considered a little too advantageous to people with less beefy rigs, considering their opponent pretty much has 100% of the planet's surface in view at all times.

I was also thinking this.....but idc. Once I get a better rig, I'll be off the fence. :D

You act like the game shouldn't do this though.

    It should.

Someone with less ability to render on their machine, the next best thing, is to hotkey multiple faces of the planet, and jump between them often.

That sounds pretty cool, specially as the game progresses and stuff's happening all over the place!

Now all I need is an ability to create multiple PiPs :D

Sounds cool, but I'm not sure the exact opposite side is where you want to be. Your opponent typically spawns a quarter of a planet away from you. Other than that, I suppose it helps seeing the activity (provided you have at least radar coverage) on pretty much the whole planet.

An extension of this would be a simple "scroll lock" toggle. Have the PIP anywhere, and as you move the main view, the PIP will follow like it does here. Much more flexible I think.

I usualy didn't use pip for this exact reason. But ever since they started cracking down on performance issues it has become much more feasible for me in the last few builds.

I remember suggesting this feature way back and having a demo video explaining it! :) Thanks John!

This might be exactly what I need to finally be able to wrap my head around these damn spheres :p

Does "Really cool stuff" really make me sound opposed to it?

Trust me, I love this feature. I'm just saying.

Definitely useful, more so if zoom level can be mirrored as well (if it isn't possible already), and we can get it up on a second monitor ;)

Could someone explain the steps to set a spot to watch with the Pip? I can't figure it out, let alone this mirroring thing.
