I let my launcher update itself to the new one. Now when I put in my username and password it invariably tells me my password is wrong.
I suppose new launcher can't handle some kind of passwords properly. Can you try to change password for something completely new without same special chars and then check it in launcher again? Then you can find out what exactly cause problem for new launcher and share this info so devs can fix that.
