Everybody who has been here since August (or january in the PC's case) has made a guide.

I haven't seen very many new members post guides.

Everybody who has an understanding of the game could post similar guides, sure. However, posting guides does help you solidify your understanding, leaves room for criticism (hopefully constructive), and helps new players.

Even if you were to post a similar guide (but not exactly like someone elses, for instance, my tank guide is probably a blend of Hudson's and DeadStretch's), new members and players posting guides would be a good thing.

I bet once we get an update we'll see quite a few more guides I would say.

Everything has already been said that needs to be said. There really aren't any ground breaking builds or strategies.

There can be different mixes. My tank guide is like that. Nothing ground-breaking, but things that newbies need to know about the tank and a different blend of railgun, skill spam, and knowing when to hit-and-run an enemy and sponge some damage.

It would be better for newer members to at least throw something out there, rather than assume there is a "perfect guide" already for the 6 classes and numerous general gameplay points.

Here is a Street Fighter comparison, so get ready: at Shoryuken.com, there are many different guides for every character, many of them are different general types of use of that character, many of them are different skill levels, many of them might even just show off interesting things to do with a character just for the show of it. STREET FIGHTER DOESN'T EVEN HAVE DIFFERENT ENDORSEMENTS, EVERY CHARACTER IS ALWAYS THE SAME, AND EVERY CHARACTER STILL HAS 100 GUIDES, AS WELL AS 100 MORE FOR GENERAL GAMEPLAY POINTS.

i literally didnt read the SF reference, but mostly what chief said. either anything worth being said was said, or anyone with enough skill to merit them teaching others to play a particular class have left to play something else.

Ah, so new players can't enjoy the fun we all had August, okay.

BTW, I am thinking of writing a Gen guide. How long do you think it will take for a mod/dev to remove it from here?

I am sure the people here want to know how to Oga into Hard Gekiro Completed. A full gekiro is all about the timing. Just keep poking with that at different angles from different walls, faking those off the wall to bait the opponent, and when you have Super build up, Oga into super into ultra of choice. Mantis Ultra 1 does more damage, but when they are low enough anyway, I think Crane Ultra 1 looks flashier.

Woah, woah, WOAH! Everyone, contributing members, trolls, mods, devs, hold on one freakin moment!!!1!11!! I don't... this.. even... what... And it is not me, who is this, is this bgolus or ekanaut or scathis or o?

It doesn't look like it, but I don't recognize anything, but it has bullseye as a avatar! Ah my brain hurts, who is this!!!

There are plenty of guides, people just need to read them. More threads for tips and tricks would be nice. I am always learning new little strategies that save my butt and get me kills.

Actually I don't think there's a really good assassin guide out.

Kill bots grab annihilator use gold armor don't go for kills especially with grabbles kill turrets with juice don't die.

There's a guide that can make any bad assassin 1000x better.

I have taught assassin to a lot of people lately. I may end up making a guide for it. Beginners need to know the basics before they start blasting shrukens on the ball from halfway across the map.

BTW, I am not a perfect assassin either. I do know the basics and some intermediate tactics. I know a lot of good evasion tactics that let me fight face to face with a REALLY good gunner for over five minutes without dying. I am not telling you this to brag, I am just letting you know why I might make an assassin guide in the future. Don't troll this post, seriously.

Basics for assassin: Bots are more important than pros, lunge is your friend, running away is often the better option, meleeing bots is good, escort your bots to the ball, control resources.

"Assassin", "face to face" and "really good gunner" don't mix well by the way.

There is a "blind spot" on the gunner. If you get right into their blind spot, you can lunge, grapple, avoid their reticule entirely, and live to tell about it. I won't mention the name of the gunner because he was indeed a bot-level player who mains gunner, but I have great respect for his gunner skills.

One way to take down a gunner is to use your cloak hum to your advantage. You will drive them crazy if you let them hear your cloak. Half the time they will start slamming and shooting. When they go to reload, they have already blown their slam, and they cannot attack you because they are reloading. It is a pretty awesome strategy. Good gunners will time themselves and meticulously wait for you to expose yourself. When fighting these gunners, you better get outta there because they know what they're doing.

    Not true Officer.

Be on the lookout for my first "guide" later today, or tomorrow. Probably not a whole lot of revolutionary thinking, but i'll try to make it interesting.

I'm going to cover a topic that has been neglected far too long.

I highly doubt that a patch will ever come just because of the dollar default doom.
    Be prepared.

I haven't made a guide yet on the forums. Mostly because I'd rather not embarrass myself like wazupwiop has with his plethora of common knowledge guides.
