Nerf the Assassin

First let me say. I LOVE this new update. the new maps are awesome...but uber? NERF THE ASSASSIN JUICE! ever sense the DLC its assassins spamming juice. on shotting rockit turrets! lvl 3.3 rockits die in 2 or 3 hits! nerf this over powerd class!

Maybe all the other Assasain haters are on right now. I still haven't run into any post update but it sounds bad.

Could you fix something up with the snazzy little thing that can make changes without a huge update

really play a little more. assassins with be in your base juice for an entire match. its 100% worse that pre DLC

The only problem is the Juice gain of the Assassin and the lack of teamwork in public matches. Multiple Assassins make it even harder.

Just played a match. No problem with them really, none that weren't there before. Of course I had hacked my tank buddy's 2 level 3 rockits next to me with my firebase close by.

So yeah, I guess it just takes a bit more teamwork to kill them now.

Also, does using the H/H gun on a juiced person give them full health anymore? I really want to go back to doing more damage.

Someone was an assassin juicing non stop earlier in a game I was in, annoying but we were able to sort of defend from it, she still has low health in juice so two of us shooting her stopped her spree... for about 30 seconds lol.

So far I have yet to be killed by an assassin grapple since the dlc, instead I die by juice lunges.

Unless they made it that assassins one shot every class with a basic attack (Read: The heavy classes) after lunging while juiced, I don't think this will be a problem.

Also, have a tank walk with your bots, or failing that, have a sniper spam your bots with explosive rounds.

Whoah, whoah, whoah! What do you think you are doing trying to come up with reasonable answers? I want easy one-button ways to counter every behavior, strategy, and skill the other team could possibly use or this game is broken.

Not everyone is lucky enough to play with other great players all the time. I imagine you probably have some decent team mates, who you're able to coordinate those types of defenses with. But for the rest of us, who don't spend every waking moment playing nothing but MNC, getting these randoms (who scarcely have mics) to use teamwork is nigh impossible.

I'll be checking out the DLC with a few friends, but for the most part we've stopped playing MNC because it's just not fun anymore. I've played against your crew Hudson, you guys are excellent, excellent players. But having a team helps a lot with that. I wish UBER would have given us a juice free playlist to be honest. Uber has lost quite a few players because of that mechanic I'd wager, I know most of my friends who started out loving the game, have deleted it off their HDD now.

It's a very team oriented game, I get that, but getting pummeled by one juiced player after another is just not fun, or worth my time.

+1 to nerf the Assassin like the OP suggests.

I agree with you mostly.

I don't have any friends that play with me. I am always playing randoms. I'm getting tired of playing against coordinated teams that are nearly constantly juiced.

I haven't stopped playing, because I still hope to find the (1 out of 5) games that goes on a while and seems pretty balanced. I'm also not terribly competitive so getting wiped all the time doesn't rage me as much as others.

It reminds me, however, of why I quit gears of war. Epic made a cool cover based shooter that everyone started shotgun rushing to do well. Epic continues to cater to the shotgun players, which makes the game not what it was intended (a cover based shooter).

I was also really hoping for a non-juice playlist. Juice should be a lot more rare to be fun. It should be something you only see maybe 2-3 times a game, not a core game mechanic you need to master to win.

Assassins still have the least armor while Juiced, fairly easy to kill if you have atleast 2 players, really all you need to do is if theyre juiced in your base, just grapple them and the turrets will take out most of their health, problem solved, just need quick acting.

Although personally i think everyclass needs a juice nerf, just saying. (how much they gain) i agree they gain juice to easily, but it is not 2-3 hits for a 3.3 rock-it turret, thats exagerating a little.

If they juice the damage done in Juice, they'll need to up the Assassin's Armor, because of all classes the Assassin dies quicker in Juice than a Non-Juiced Tank in your base (i've personally tested this) She dies the quickest while juiced, thats the reason for the high damage, reduce the damage and up the total armor and i am ok with that.

It takes two co-ordinated pros to cc a juiced assassin for the duration of juice.

It takes 1 if you ring them out (easiest class to ring out in the game btw), play tank, or play sniper.

Oh I totally agree about GOW2, and yes, juice needs to be a rare thing not, as you put it, a core game mechanic. The assassin doesn't need to be nerfed, juice does. That's just my opinion though, the people who are dedicated to playing MNC a lot will always feel differently than the casual players.

I am willing to bet that if Uber did give us a juice free playlist, they'd see it's popularity skyrocket. If I'm only one player who knows 3-4 other players who have walked away from MNC because of people being juiced constantly, I'm sure there are others who feel the same. Maybe even thousands. I'll be downloading this DLC today because it's free, but if I keep running into the same frustrations, I'll not be buying any of the future DLCs. Had you asked me in September about supporting Uber with DLC purchases, I'd have told you (and probably did say) "100% for sure I'm getting them." But now, no, I want to be able to play the game against good players without worrying about juice. I know the good players would still be good without it.

I understand that, but after that ring out, either another player is coming in juiced, or the original player will be back in 2 mins juiced yet again. Spending half the match pinned in your base because your fighting off juiced players is not fun. I know you probably have a ball whipping up on random teams like that, but if we are constantly beating them off, we have no chance to win anyway. So what's the point?

If you have a support on your team, throw a well placed firebase for defense, trust me, they eat up Assassins like there is no tomorrow. Nothing.. NOTHING does more damage to a Juiced Assassin than a Firebase (its actually a little ridiculous but i can deal with it).

Like i said before, nerf the Assassin's juice damage, you must boost the armor a little.

I have always disliked juiced, personally i do think they should get rid of it, or atleast make it as rare as Bacon. Have NO juice machines, and reduce ALL the gain rates for Juice.

Still not seeing the problem. I can crowd control a juiced Assassin solo using multiple classes. It isn't THAT difficult.

If people/players are just starting to notice how fast an Assassin gains juice I wonder if they thought it was always bought?

Ah i remember the days when everyone would say "Every damn Assassin in the game is a scrub, they are horrible and pathetic and the class should be deleted the class sucks so much." now they want to get rid of them because theyre too good. lol But nerf juice gains for EVERYONE, problem solved

Really surprised about this myself. Like Artic Fox said in that other thread: "they kill ten bots and they've got full juice!"
It's really easy to do that if you mix up your attacks between knife/sword and jumpkicks.

Speaking of which in the match I just played against you, DeadStretch (good job, btw) another player on your team and myself were noticing that even with Gold Armor endorsements, the Assassin takes damage like crazy now.

So there you have it, I guess.

Juiced Assassins are not the problem. Juice is.

They need to do one or both of the following things:

1) Make Juice extremely rare. Nearly as rare as bacon. It should be something you can only get after a long kill streak or doing extremely well, that you CAN'T do more than once or twice a game.

2) Instead of making Juice 100% Reward in every way, add some risk to it as well. Maybe drop armor but increase damage, or vice versa. Something. Right now, the only downside of juice is it's time limit. But it doesn't matter if you screw up your juice attack, you can do it again in 2 minutes.

It's just dumb that the game has become about juice. And it caters to teams of people that work together, which makes it anti pick up group.

I really think we need a juice-less playlist. It would be VERY popular.
